“Nice Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2011

Good hotel, with off street parking.

My room was large and well fitted out.

My colleague had a room at the front of the hotel which he said was noisy in the morning due to trams.

Overall a good hotel.

Qube is a quiet, modern upscale hotel close to old town and attractions and a great choice. We ate breakfast in restaurant and it was very good. Lounge also very nice for evening drinks and quick snacks. Staff was very helpful and access to parking was terrific. While standard room was usual "European small" the overall layout and creative storage approaches made it seem larger and everything was very clean. Within 10 minute walk to many good restaurants in old town. Would definetely stay here again.

The rooms are rather stark but the beds are comfortable and the bathroom adequate. It is about a 10 minute walk to the old town and a short cab ride from the train station. The reception person on our arrival seemed to be rather annoyed at our early arrival and later with registering and assisting us with simple registration. Another clerk was friendly and helpful with changing our Eurail train reservations.

Personally, I found the room to be too white/stark for my tastes and I normally like modern.I will try another place next time just because this one did not feel warm and friendly.

Room Tip: OK if you like stark modern

A good choice if you like something modern and uncluttered although the room was on the small side. Overall, we were quite satisfied. Friendly and helpful front desk. Likewise in the bar but service was quite slow although well-staffed. When our drinks did finally arrive, they were good so happy ending. It is not in the centre of things but this did not bother us - although it might for others..

Only short walk from the city center, I appreciated this so much, as there is nothing better to have a hotel so conveniently located.
The hotel itself is very design, the rooms were extremely tidy. The hotel has great restaurant. Maybe the slight disadvantage if you take the room facing the street, it can get a bit noisy, but after such delicious dinner as they have in the restaurant you forget about everything.

Had previously stayed at the NH Heidelberg, so this was certainly a step up from that hotel. Rooms very spacious for European standards, clean lines, simple, clean and comfortable. Was on 2nd floor across from the tram line, but with windows closed, the noise of the street was minimal. Restaurant / bar was very good and we took advantage of the roof deck for late night cocktails...very cool. Only real draw back was the distance to the old town...about a 10 minute walk to the beginning of the pedestrian zone and another 10-15 minutes until you start hitting all of the bars / restaurants. All in all a very good choice for a trip to Heidelberg.
