“Real Deal in Heidelberg”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

Highly recommended - a little off the beaten track but worth finding. Food quality is at the high end, this place is more a weinstube with the focus on German wine, worth checking out if you haven't yet done so. The staff are helpful with recommendations so if you have ever wanted to work out what a Riesling is all about go visit.

“gourmet food, quality price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

The food was excellent, and the waiter friendly and helpful;
He was very knowledgeable about the local beer and wine.
The restaurant is very small, and has communal tables.

“Glad I Hunted for this Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

I went to Schnitzelbank because of the reviews on Trip Advisor I was not disappointed! I hunted for a sign for Bauamtsgasse but never saw it. The tip that said it was on a side street on the Neckar side of Haupstrasse really helped me find it. It was a Wednesday night in early July and it was quite busy. There were a few empty tables but they had been reserved. I could either join a table or sit on the patio. It was a hot evening so I chose the patio. It is nothing fancy but it was quiet and just right for me. The dinner was wonderful, I had a Schnitzel, not fried but it was amazing. The salad and noodles that came with it were good too. I would love to go back here someday and take my husband!!

“Very good food even for a picky 5 year old.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013 via mobile

We tried the restaurant with a 13 and 5 year old. Normally the 5 year old is very picky. She shared some of the food from the rest of use and she enjoyed it all. The portions were very large and the food was very good. The only drawback I had as a beer drinker was the restaurant was a wine bar and the only beer they had was in bottles so not that big of a deal. Overall it was very good and the price was good ~70 euros for 3 meals (pepper steak, winner schnitzel, and cordon blue) with beers, wine and soft drinks.
