“A Central Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

This hotel is good value for money and very centrally located. No frills but really clean, comfortable and adequate. Situated on top of the bank, so the reception is on the 3rd floor. Tricky to find as the lift is in the actual entrance to the bank. However really easy, once you know where everything is. Parking is a very short distance away which was convenient. The breakfast was good with a nice variety catering for all needs. The village is really small so the shops and waterfall are all within walking distance. Definitely enjoyed it here and would use this hotel again.

Central to everything in town--restaurants, the waterfall hike, cuckoo clock shops, and the Black Forest Museum--this hotel is priced right with nearly everything you need. It's a privately owned and operated establishment on the upper floor of an office building. Elevator included. It's mostly no-frills, but spotlessly clean and functional. Some of the rooms have lovely large balconies, as the front rooms are eastward-facing and into the main street. The rear rooms have lovely views of the mountains with the pleasant sound of a broom below. Because there is no air-conditioning (tough in the summer) you'll likely have the window open, therefore carry ear plugs for sleeping. The bed was fine, but the pillows flatten completely. Breakfast included was as complete and lovely as one could expect. You can dine on the balconies or in the lovely light-filled room with a wide assortment of breads, meats, cheeses, eggs, sausages, etc. I think the price for this hotel is right especially considering the location, cleanliness, and breakfast. The owner who operates the hotel is obviously hard-working and just delightful. Yup, I would definitely stay here again if the opportunity comes.

Room Tip: Front; street and sunrise views. Occasional traffic noise Back; mountains and a brook. Quieter

This small hotel is conveniently located in the Black Forest city of Triberg and very close to the biggest waterfalls in Germany.

The hotel is located on the third floor of a commercial building and shares the building with many other businesses. When we arrived it wasn’t quite obvious where the hotel was. There is no clear sign for the hotel from the main road. We eventually located the hotel by asking a local shop.
The hotel reception is on the third floor and no clear sign if there is an elevator.
Access to the elevator was through an entrance of a local bank. When we arrived, we had to walk up the stairs to the reception. This is the reason for lower rating.

The lady at the reception was friendly and spoke good English and explained everything we needed to know. She also provided a “Guest card” which provides free access to the famous waterfalls.

The room was nice and big and the bathroom was clean with everything we needed was there. Our room was facing the lovely Black Forest mountain side.
They also serve good continental breakfast which we enjoyed very much.

On the main road there are several shops for Cuckoo clocks. If you are thinking to buy then this is an ideal opportunity. Warning; they are not cheap and avoid clocks with Chinese plastic clock inside.

Room Tip: Mountain facing rooms have good views and would be quiter

A trip to Triberg was a completely unplanned. And, booking this place was totally unplanned too! And, I am so glad that both these decisions scored a perfect ten on ten!

We got a room facing the Market place - with nice views of the shopping centres around. This room has a corridor leading to the bedroom, which has a balcony facing the city - with mind blowing views! Nothing better than sitting in the balcony with a cup of coffee, and enjoying the view.

The room has a kid's bed too, in case you have grown up kids on board.

Not everyone knows English here - we had to come back to the hotel at 4 pm, to converse with the owner, who's the only one who could speak English. (That's probably the only reason why this hotel scores a four on five). The lady was kind enough to reduce the breakfast cost (without even asking!), when we told her we wanted to check-out at 6 am.

All in all, I just wish could have stayed longer here :-)

Room Tip: I took room 308 (the corner room), and I think it is awesome :-)

Great hotel for the price. Felt cozy. Try and get a room in the back. Excellent views of the mountains and you can hear the waterfall river run. Very relaxing. The breakfast provided was nice and there is a fridge stocked with beer and an honor boot to put your money in. Would and will stay there again.

Clean and homey, with a personal touch. The women that run this bed and breakfast are so sweet, and even kept the absolutely delicious breakfast out a little longer for us when we overslept.( breakfast had meats, cheeses, jams, fresh fruit, warm bread, Nutella, muffins, hard-boiled eggs, jives, and coffee). It's got a wonderful location right in the center of Triberg, and great security because it's located above a bank.

Great hotel for a good price!

This hotel is in the main street of Triberg, 5 mins walking to Triberg Waterfall. We can't see this hotel clearly because it's located on the second floor, the first floor is a bank (Sparkasse). We reach to the hotel through a door or an elevator in front of the Sparkasse. The lift was very small, it's difficult if you bring many big luggages. The room is small but clean, I got a room with a balcony. The breakfast is included, standart german breakfast. There is a parking lot behind the hotel.
