We stayed for 8 days at this classic 5* hotel. Our Superior room overlooked the gardens and Lichtental Allee, along which we strolled into town most evenings. The bathroom was wall to wall marble, one of the most spacious and luxurious we have seen. The balcony was a disappointment ..it was tiny with only one table and one chair and barely room for any but a size 0 person to sit at. If you want two chairs and a bit more space you have to pay for a Deluxe room. They don't make this clear in the ads.
The buffet breakfast was top standard. The staff absolutely charming...nice touch to have your name remembered. At a "manager's cocktails" one evening we were taken on a tour of the kitchens, followed by a glass of champagne on the terrace.
Following afternoons in the garden (plenty of loungers and courteous staff in attendance), for dinner we tended to use restaurants in the town, of which there are many good casual ones .
Interesting town, free concerts in the park, historic buildings and lots of galleries. We will certainly visit Brenners Park again.
