“Nicest room ever,”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012 via mobile

We stayed here for two nights during our first ever trip to Europe. Our room had a lovely balcony overlooking the Caracalla Spa, a large living room, a king size bed and a bathroom with a tub, shower, bidet, heated floors, mirror and towel rack. The decor was uber modern European which we love (some might think it a little sparse). There was free fruit and water for us in addition to the mini-bar. The breakfast room had a nice terrace and offered eggs in addition to the usual continental fare in European hotels.

We travel a great deal in the US and Caribbean and this is one of the nicer rooms we have stayed in anywhere. The location is on the edge of the pedestrian area about 7-10 minutes walk through shopping and dining area to the casino and Lichtentaller Allee. It's super close to the spas (which we also enjoyed).

This is a lovely little hotel with terrific rooms and views, competent staff and a good location especially if you're in Baden-Baden to "take the waters".

We stayed here for a few days with our daughter, son in law & 2 very young grandchildren. It was lovely. Our room overlooked the spa so it was very quiet. It was an easy walk into the centre of town, either via little pedestrian streets or straight down the main road.
We didn't eat there at all. We enquired about it but they told us they only served re heated frozen food as most guests liked to wander out to try the many restaurants. A shame because the dinng room was attractive & they had a nice terrace.
Parking the car was a pleasure, even had piped music in he garage!!!! Spotlessly clean & easy access into the hotel, it was quite pricey though but well worth it.
We used the spa & walked across the gardens to get there, it is possible to go via a tunnel under the hotel I understand. Probably a good idea if it's raining.
The staff were all very pleasant & helpful. We would certainly go back again.

Room Tip: Request a room overlooking the spa as the ones on the road side are a bit noisy.

Stayed here 5 nights and cannot fault it. The staff were very welcoming
and helpful. Breakfast superb served by very pleasant staff who could not do enough for you, particularly impressed by the crisp white table linen. Our room was lovely and well equipped, overlooking the Spa, very peaceful. You can book Spa tickets at the Reception desk and get a small discount. Also towels are free as you will pay 6 euro's for them at the Spa.
Parking under the Hotel is not cheap but it is well worth it as the
Garage is excellent and secure, also a useful way to visit the Caracalla
Spa without out going out in view of the public, especially handy if the weather is bad. We loved our stay and hope to visit again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the rear overlook the Spa, lovely to wake up to in the morning.

We stayed with our two children and another family at the Aqua Aurelia in August. It is directly across the street from the Caracalla Spa and the historic Roman-Irish “Friedrichsbad”. Our children's ages are 3, 4.5, 6 and 9. The only downside to Auqua Aurelia was not having a pool for the children to enjoy. The rooms were lovely, and well kept and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast was lovely as well. The hotel did have AC and it was one of the hotest weeks in Germany. The AC seemed to keep up pretty well.

The spas were able to be accessed by us but it was a little tricky. The daycare at Caracalla is available for the younger children and they loved it. So, for a few hours it was a nice get away for us as parents. The 6 and 9 year olds are a different story. They are too old for the daycare and the 6 year old is too young to get into the spa. This poses a challenge. Just make a note of it if you have children. Young ones can be managed but it may prove more difficult with the older kids.

The community pool open to the public was a long walk away but we did it a few times. The pools there were cold and the facility was a little lack luster. We were sad to not step one foot into the Irish/Roman facility as there is not any childcare there. We ventured out to Karlsruhe one day to check out that family water park and were dissapointed. It is outdated, not very clean and was overpacked. Many single men of Arab background were sabotaging the slides, body slamming people making it dangerous and butting in line making the whole process of ordering snacks infuriating.

Baden Baden as a town was lovely, the food was great. We took recommendations from our concierge and ate at Medici and loved it. The other recommendation of Rizzi, we even took the children to and it was superb!

Baden Baden as a whole does not accept VAT forms for those armed service folks used to German towns honoring the tax break.

Stayed here for 2 nights at the start of our European tour.
What a fantastic city and the Aqua Aurelis suite hotel is just great. The staff went out of their way to ensure we were given enough information about the city. They were really friendly and helpful. They organised tickets for the Friedrich Spa and booked us a couple of restaurants for our evening meals, The Rizzi was particularly brilliant.
Breakfast was very good with a good choice of different things.
The suite was fantastic with a large bathroom. Ours was at the front of the Hotel with views down the Vincentistrasse.
Car Parking is in in the hotels underground car park which was very convenient.
Overall both my wife and I and the couple we were travelling with had a great time and will definitely return to Baden Baden and the Aqua Aurelia, only this time we will stay longer

Excellent hotel in central Baden-Baden. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Our suite was clean and spacious with a great view overlooking Caracalla Spa. The bathroom was huge which is quite uncommon in Europe. Bath towels were provided for our spa visit and we found out that tickets could be brought from the front desk which was very convenient.
Breakfast was good and offered a variety of fresh pastries, eggs and meats. Will recommend this hotel and look forward to returning soon.

My husband and I took a short midweek break to this hotel in Baden-Baden. The hotel was well appointed and our room was much larger than we have found typical in similarly priced hotels.

Three negative points, keeping this to four stars not five.
1) The bed was two singles pushed together with separate duvets, which we as a couple do not particularly like. This may suit others however, and we did not raise this as an issue.
2) The restaurant served only re-heated style food; we would have loved a proper in-house restaurant/room service for lazier days. This is a very minor point, and the website makes the situation abundantly clear so it's a non-perfection point as opposed to a complaint.
3) We were charged for breakfast every day when we only took breakfast three of the five nights. This niggles me, and I wish I had complained (which I didn't as I didn't spot it until I was back in the UK). You should watch this if you do not have a B&B rate.

After the minor negatives, come the over whelming positives. The staff really made this hotel – they were extremely attentive, kind, and provided top rate service. They were happy to chat in English, or to tolerate my very faltering German. I can't have asked for more from the staff. Secondly outstanding point was the breakfast, which can be served on the terrace. This was a really lovely spread and the fruit was of particularly high quality when it can sometimes be lacking. Third outstanding point was the location. This hotel is ideal if you wish to be a frequent visitor to the spas, which are very close to this hotel.

I would thoroughly recommend that anybody stays here, and the spas are a must. We'll be back soon I hope.
