Had a really lovely holiday here - Lake Annecy is stunning and there is lots of activities. You get free mini golf, golf, cycling and tennis (and water sports when they are open!) with this hotel - but we went in Sept when a lot of the water sports were closed - and there are lots of good walks. Recommend you hire a car to drive around or else you will be bored in Talloires(but be careful of all the cyclists!). Talloires itself is tiny (but cute) not much restaurents apart from the more expensive hotel ones. Hotel Le Lac is nice - other people there were a bit old and there is no bar to go have a drink in the evening (but we're young and enjoyed it)- clean, relaxed and a lovely heated pool. Definately recommend the restaurent La Savorade by the Lake - lovely lovely food in a fab dining room or balc over looking lake at reasonable price - if you go to Talloires go here!

We took the train from Waterloo to Annecy, changing from Eurostar in Paris to TVR to Annecy.

The Hotel was lovely with good food and good atmosphere. Having hired a car we travelled around the area, and were very impressed with the area.

My husband and I spent a wonderful week in Talloires last summer. The weather was fabulous, the views breathtaking, the people warm and the food magnificent. We stayed at Hotel Le Lac where we had a lovely room with a huge bathroom (and a proper bath aswell as a shower !) The chef there was a genius ! We're going back this year so hope he's still there !
