Everything about our stay here was wonderful. Our room was upgraded, and it was lovely. The view of the mountain with the sun coming up in the morning is breathtaking. I can't say anything better about the service. The concierge was so impeccable. He arranged our ski rental, restaurants, transportaton and ski insructors so easily, and everything worked out so well. We who stay in top-notch hotels often were duly impressed. The bar is so charming and the bartenders so friendly. The breakfast is delicious with homemade bread, sausages, and yummy fresh cheeses. We got the half-board that allows you to have dinner in any of their three restaurants. The food was delicious so we didn't feel the need to go anywhere else. We went to restaurants for lunch they recommended that were delightful. Also, the spa treatments were fabulous. The pool and hot tub a plus. So all-in-all a wonderful respite in a charming town.

We just came back from Megeve, a lovely village, beautiful skiing.
Unfortunately Les Fermes de Marie was not what we expected for close to $400.00 a night. The rooms were o.k., a bit on the small side, the bathroom has a tub with a hand held shower only. The rest of the hotel is charming and the concierge,Ben, very friendly and efficient. That is where the service stopped! Waiters were sour faced and had to be called several times just to get coffe in the morning. English seems to be a problem, but if you insist they do come around! After complaining to the manager service did not improve and she did not follow up with us.
At check-out time we requested a bellman several times but finally carried the luggage ourselves, as nobody showed up. This is not what we would call a four star hotel, although the price would suggest otherwise.

For a top hotel, this was not up there with some. I probably wouldn't repeat the experience. Yes, the buildings are lovely, & the staff of the Spa are lovely - also the very hard-working chambermaids are personable. However, the restaurant staff seemed stressed &, particularly at breakfast, seemed to just want to get the meal over with & the clientele out of the way. We had booked a suite, but on arrival discovered that our daughter was sharing our room. Very poor value, & we felt that we had been misled. Plus, theconcierge was unable to carry out our requests. Fair enough in a busy week, but he didn't keep us informed. For example, we requested boarding lessons, not available, but as we were not told, we lost out on the possibility of ANY lessons. All in all, a disappointment :-(

We came back from Fermes de Marie a fortnight ago with the feeling that we would not go back.

We booked a club room at c.£300 per night and it was extremely mediocre, goodness knows what the standard rooms are like.
Unfortunately the web-site only shows the best rooms rather than the full spectrum, and no deluxe rooms (next step up) were available during our stay.

On a positive note, the restaurants, spa and lounge areas were fantastic. Additionally, the staff were impeccable and could not do enough to help.
