“My favourite”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2014

This brasserie is my favourite in the city, I came a numerous amount of time and was never disappointed.
Of course the restaurant is always busy, noisy and sometimes you can wait for a certain amount of time specially on sundays if you did not book but at the end always happy about the food.
My favourites in this restaurant are: as a starter the snails cooked with butter and parsley. Concerning the main course what I prefer the most is the sole which is not always on the menu but can ask for, or the veal liver which is delicious.
For desert you can try the classical "Gauffre Grand-Mère".
I have to admit that the service is not incredible and perfect but it's a brasserie not a gastro restaurant, I find it normal that the waiters do not spend 10 min on your table each time they come, they have to be really quick.

“Worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2014

Yes it is noisy - it's a brasserie, if you want quiet go elsewhere! Food & wine is reasonably priced & good - which I guess is why you need wait for a table. I've been several times and will no doubt return.

“Dissapointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2014 via mobile

We have been to all the Brasseries Bocuse here in Lyon several times but today was the biggest deception since ever.
True it is Sunday the 26th of January and not many restaurants are open on Sunday here, but the staff was very unprofessional ... Our waiter was clearly not at all interested in his work, taking the guests as idiots and accusing the chef of not being able to read. The lunch took over 2 hours and we had small children with us. The food was very expensive and not worth it. Will not go back there :-(

“Very good food, average service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2014

Second visit here, similar story both times... Front of house very smooth & welcoming. Very good food each time, but service leaves much to be desired. Slow, disinterested waiters, waiting ages for food, cold chips delivered with steak.. Steak was fantastic however. As were starters.
Overall; ropey service, but very, very good food experience...

“It's not Bocuse ! It's just a French Brasserie”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2014

Very noisy. Waiters do it but without service : it's their job not their pleisure. And the prices are higher than in a good restaurant ! "Surfait"
The building is otherwise an architectural one, really.
