Third time I went there, and I enjoyed it even more than the firsts time. Diversity and quality of the food is still as high as before! Service is as well high level as cool, you feel like you're alone in the restaurant, but at...the same time all the people around are acting for you, smoothly, gently, and you feel really comfortable. On top of that, price wise I can't find better ratio according to what I ate! And of course, wine list is huge, and offers possibilities for all level of knowledge and finance. About 60 different cheeses... you can be lost, but of course the waiter will help you in your selection. So, in a nutshell: if you want to have a really good experience, go ahead, it's here you need to go!More

I like the Chef of a two star Michelin in France to come around to my table and talk to us as the meal progesses or after. This is the custom I am raised on for forty years of fine dining in France, and is...based on the chef's respect for his customer's paying the tariff to enjoy his meal and dining environment. While Guy prepares a lovely meal, on a recent visit over lunch, he is sitting in the bar schmoozing with customers when we walked in and then again as were were leaving two hours later - with the same customers, obviously regulars, or a product provider, or maybe critic.. The restaurant was not particularly busy that day, as is apparent from this review, with only a few tables filled, all with deuces.. Only when I asked to say hello as we were practically out the door did he emerge from the bar and take his final bows. Call me old fashioned, but I found this a bit disrespectful. The courses were very good indeed, as was the service and physical ambience, and wines very fairly priced (wait until he gets his third Michelin star!!!) but Guy should sharpen up his guest relations skills a bit and not leave all the bonhomie to his charming wife. Maybe it was a very slow, not typical day, and so I give him the benefit of the doubt. But thats why it gets in my estimation four, maybe 4 1/2 stars, and not the full five.More

Outside of Lyon, this is a destination setting with full and attentive service. Quiet and formal, with widely spaced tables. The cuisine is very good though not cutting edge or extraordinary. Sommelier most helpful. The price is quite low in comparison level of service.

only a few days after our meal we discovered that they only have 1 michelinstar instead of what we thought were 2. The bread is bad, tasteless and needs salt. The friandises are given between the maincourse and dessert so when ordering coffee you only...have a few chocolate coated nuts. But that’s it for complaining... The food is really great and high 2 star quality. Prices are absurd, 75 Euro for a 4 course meal inc amuses etc. We had a few dishes that were really really great.. The crabgelee in the amuse was stunning. The starter of langoustine was more than generous and really good. Trolley of cheese well matured and good temperature. Desserts refined. There is a food temple in Lyon called Bocuse, however, Guy Lassausaie can join the stage. Michelin, this is two stars!!!More

First impressions are good, a warm welcoming experience from the staff. We went for lunch and there were a some set lunches to pick at around €100 per person. You can expect additional course beyond the ones stated on the menu; hor d’oeuvres and palate...cleanser, as well as pre-desserts. The cheese cart was a particular highlight for me with a well curated selection of cheeses to pick from. The dishes were delicious and how I would describe as safe. What I mean by that is there’s nothing particularly challenging about the dishes, what you see is what you get. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Where I’m challenging it’s second Michelin star is in it’s service. It was severely lacking for a place of this calibre. I was regularly pouring my own drink and the general attitude to care for us as customers was lacking. Perhaps they don’t care for tourists, it’s not a touristy area after all. But the ambience was nice, the presentation was lovely, and taste was delicious. The decor was relaxed, but the toilets were poorly finished, I would suggest a little more attention paid in this area. I finished the meal satisfied and I found it good value. I would recommend a visit to anyone in the area.More

We had a wonderful dinner here towards the end of 3 weeks in France. Excellent food beautifully presented and professionally served as you would expect from a Micheline two star operations but I was most surprised at how reasonable the check was for the superb...quality, albeit not cheap by any means.More

We found the restaurant Guy Lassausaie through our hosts at the B&B (castle) that we where staying. We went there in the evening and had one of the better meals that we have had in France (we have been to several one, two star restaurants...in France). The value for what we paid was really amazing! Some of the dishes were so beautifully presented that it was difficult to eat them. Service was just as nice as the food. A real find if you have a car and stay or pass by Lyon.More

This is a relaxed and refined place where top class food is served in a relaxed way. I liked the curved shape to the layout of the interiors giving a sense of calm informality. Having read about the crab starter I wasn’t disappointed and the...partridge main course was equally cleverly put together. The Sommelier steered us to two perfectly matching wines, tactfully manoeuvring us away from less sensible choices. The amuse bouche was generous and bigger than the starter and the pre-dessert made the dessert almost impossible to manage. But manage, we did. A wonderful place in a tiny backwater but well worth the journey.More

Anniversary celebration deserves great places and this restaurant is one of those. From the starters to the desserts every single touch is artistic and amazing. It is a real valse of flavors in your mouth with a gourmet and quiet service which is ran without...you even notice. So this is really a place to try a bit off the big tracks but worth the experience. Merci chef !More

A welcoming restaurant away from the city, Guy has created a classy without pomp location that is clean, sophisticated and warm. The food of fresh, local and entertaining yet not as fussy as some. Flavours work and colours match. The staff are well trained and...don't hassle you too often yet are their should you need. For a 2 Michelin star restaurant, the prices are good but be careful with the wine list, the cellar has a vast selection and some very expensive bottles. Ate several times here during my stay in Lyon and I promise to return.More

Really enjoyed the 69€ menu, but also decided that if I go back, I'd unquestionably order a la carte. If you're a really serious foodie who can afford to order a la carte, that's what you should do. But, the 69€ menu was such a...better value because it included the cheese course and dessert, which were not to be missed. Clearly a wonderful restaurant, surprisingly easy to get a last minute reservation, but be forewarned, it is about 20 km outside of Lyon. So, you'll either need a car or to be prepared to pay for a pricey cab/Uber.More

The €69 menu was superb. This restaurant really deserves Michelin***. Beautifully arranged, but more important, delicious. First a terrine of green lentils on top of beautiful foie gras with smoked duck on the side Then duck breast with a carrot mousse and carrots. A taste...of cheese, the reblochon, wonderful. I had no need for dessert, but big surprise, a plate of little cream puffs filled with chocolate ganache and whipped cream, raspberry macaroons, a tiny tart , didn't taste, probably a little sweet, not to mention little chocolates and fruit gelees. Oh, and before the meal, amuse bouches of fromage blanc, I think with a peeled cherry tomato bursting with flavor, smoked salmon and a giant "soup"with bits of foie gras I think. All was truly perfection. Go if you can. It is a short ride from Lyon and on the corner I noticed a bus line. Besides the food itself, the service and welcome were all as good as it gets. Oh, please, go there. I think it is a must, especially if you are near Lyon.More
