Whilst this would be a good budget choice for an expensive city, the hotel was somewhat disappointing.
The rooms were clean and well-decorated but, the size of the bed made it difficult even for one person to manoeuvre around. The bed was also so high off the floor that it felt quite dangerous to get in and out, especially in the night.
I stayed in September but, the room was so hot that it became difficult to sleep, without the fan being kept on all night or having a window open, both of which were noisy. Having the lights on in rooms that were very darkly decorated, gave off even more heat.
The shower and toilet area were so small that the toilet extended into the shower area. It was like trying to shower in a vertical coffin and to use the toilet AFTER a shower, left one standing in water. Heaven help you if you dropped the toilet roll!
There was NO luggage space in the room and apart from two hooks and several coat hangers by the dressing table mirror, no clothes hanging space.
On the plus side, the staff were delightful and extremely helpful, speaking good English if needed. The hotel is also very close to tram, metro and railway stations, although after dark, I wouldn't have walked around the area by myself as a lone female traveller...
However, having stayed for an initial two nights at the start of my trip to France, I cancelled my booking for a further 3 nights at the end, as I couldn't face the thought of the airless room or the awful shower/toilet! I went and booked the Ibis next door, for Euros 20 less per night!
