“Centrally located”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

The best thing about this hotel is its location, especially if you are happy to walk about. It is an easy 15 minute walk from the main station Gare de la Part-Dieu and about a 5 minute walk to the nearest metro station (Place Guichard)
In the other direction it is about 5 minutes to Place Belecour in the centre and about a further 10 minutes to Vieux Lyon
The hotel itself is OK with courteous staff and average rooms for this standard of hotel. The single lift is a bit slow and small - could be a problem if you have large suitcases.
Breakfast was included in the rate and was reasonable. There was the option of scrambled eggs and bacon as well as the usual cereals, breads, yoghurts etc.
All in all not a bad place to base yourself when visiting Lyon

The hotel is in an excellent location for sightseeing and the reception team friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and quiet and comfortable, although the decor a bit drab colour. Good value for money.

Based on the reviews I had reasonably high expectations for this hotel and I was disappointed.

First the positives: excellent location, great wifi (strong signal, fast speed), large spacious room.

Now for the negatives. . .
The carpeting in our room was worn and dirty. We found white body fluid stains (eew!) on the couch, and who-knows-what-fluid dried on the bathroom tiles near the toilet. The sink did not drain property, and was not cleaned out by the cleaning service. The hair dryer was hard to use. There was no full length mirror. No iron provided in the room, though it seems we could have requested one. The toiletries provided were shampoo and soap, which I felt were of poor quality. I just felt dirty staying here! There is one small slow elevator - quite insufficient! The room was hot, but we did not want to leave a window open because of security - it was possible to simply step out the window and into another room! (Note - I think this is only possible on the 7th floor.)

Unfortunately, I do not recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: 7th floor lacks security - someone could walk from room to room through open windows along a ledge...

This Hotel is located not far from the eastern bank of river Rhone. In a few minutes you can walk to the nearest tram or metro stations and as well as in the old town in between the Rhône and the Saône rivers. This is a great location for exploring the city and its fine restaurants.

The room was quiet, spacious and clean. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The only disadvantage was that there is free WiFi throughout the hotel, but you have to pay for using the one desktop computer in the hall near reception.

I did not take breakfast at the hotel. In fact the breakfast area in the hall seemde to be quite narrow and crowded in the morning.

Hotel very well located and quiet, just 10 min walking to place Belcour. Wifi in the room, the system of connexion is pretty annoying. Bed was very comfortable and clean. Coffee and tea in the room. Breakfast was good with salty and sweet things and warmly welcome. Recommended !!

Room Tip: Ask one with the balcony :-)

Nice and quiet location about 15 minutes' walk to the city center. Close to the Rhone riverside - nice walk along the quay. Clean and cozy room with a comfy bed, a minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, and a safe. Free wi-fi in the rooms (it was a bit slow at times but that is not uncommon in hotels during the evening "rush hour"). Friendly and helpful front desk staff.

There is only one small elevator, so taking your luggage down at checkout can take longer than you expect. Breakfast is overpriced (EUR 14 as far as I remember) but there are lots of cheaper options in the area around the hotel. All things considered, good value, and I would recommend it.
