Very nice and relaxed atmosphere, Excellent value and perfect location in the heart of Lyon surrounded by lots of cozy restaurants and close to shopping area. Still, quiet, mostly pedestrain area with very limited traffic.

Room Tip: I rented a studio with cooking facilities, but I as far as I know there are also "normal"...

We arrived by bus/metro from airport train station. It was a short walk from the metro and very central. There is a Monoprix close by where we could buy groceries and the kitchen was well equipped. Although we later verified that it was well-documented that there was no A/C, we had somehow failed to notice it in the ads. Thankfully the weather was cool enough for August and we were able to sleep. The room was equipped with a fan. If one wanted to keep the window open at night, the noise from the street was too great. I agree with Adam R that the laundry system and fee is exorbitant. This hotel prides itself on being environmentally conscious; however, one cannot use one's own soap, so the amounts can't be regulated, nor the awful smell . For a person with environmental sensitivities or allergies, this is not ideal. Having said this, I would still go back except for the summer, and I would try to find another laundry nearby.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet non-smoking room, away from the street noise.

Good location. That's about it. Mostly nice staff, decent continental breakfast, decent price, though not decent value. Our floors weren't clean, Bathroom looked like it's in the original 1980s condition, and not terribly clean. Bed was a sofa-bed, not really clean. Totally unexpected and uncomfortable. Pay more if you have to and book somewhere else, unless all you want is a place to crash. The room did have a small kitchenette which otherwise probably drove the price beyond the value.

Room Tip: Make sure you do the rooftop tour of the Lyon Cathedral!

We were suprised at taxi fare. (not that hotel can can do anything about taxi costs except ensure the website has a price range which includes might cost..)
Have included so other travellers havr recent info(we arrived at airpirt after 7 with 4 pieces of luggage 0.75 euro + airport supplement added to meter charge.

We stayed October. Can see how other travellers would be suffering in Summer months.

We liked the bed, location, size of room (503) for 2 people, breakfast simple boiled eggs, cereal, bread, cheese, ham, croissants, yoghurt, chopped fruit(only part we did not like, seems to be a bucket of factory chopped fruit).

Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

The only negative for us was:
9 euro for self serve washing and drying( thought this should be free for aparthotel)

Unsure about:
Staff all stopping for coffee in the breakfast area.

I would be weary if staying here in the heat.

The best thing about this Hotel is location! The staff were very friendly and helpful, however.....I had booked a studio and found the sofa bed extremely uncomfortable, and bumped my legs on the metal frame, each time I got out of bed, not ideal for an aged person, also as I was there for three and a half weeks it wasn't the comfort I had expected, there was no air conditioning and the room was stifling hot at night. Also the noise from the surrounding night life was unbearable. I felt because of these reasons the room was over priced!

I have stay at the two Citadines in Paris and this is in no way in the same class. In the booking they did not say there was no air conditioning any where in the hotel! and we arrived when it was 38 degrees C! The room we were given was dirty with a pile of dirty curtians on the floor and the phone did not work to call the front desk. They changed to another room and we asked if we could get our money back so that we could fin another hotel and they refused.

The 2nd day we asked about rooms not being cleaned and was told that the package we got had no room cleaning included! Asked for the information on my sign in form and there was no such thing. We asked for a towel the 2nd day as we had throw ours on the floor and was told by the women with the short black hair that would be an additional charge for the extra towel!!!!!!!!!!
