Stayed for 4 nights.
Location:
Near to Bellcour. Centrally located. You can walk to most major sights. Lots of restaurant and shopping near the hotel. Close to Metro station. Love the location. You can't go wrong with this location in Lyon.
Room:
We were given a small room at first. Can't open the wardrobe door or pull out the chair at the study table after placing our 2 big lugguage on the floor. My lugguage is too big to be placed on the small wooden lugguage stand. It dropped twice from the stand.
After that, the gentleman who checked us in was very kind to move us to a slightly bigger room. We had the corner room with lots of windows. Room size was so much better than the previous room. The room was clean, quiet and bright. I enjoyed my stay.
Service:
Good service- The gentleman who checked us in was really understanding and friendly.
Poor service- When we actually need to make a reservation for a highly rated restaurant in tripadvisor, we were told by a lady staff on duty at the check-in counter that reservation is not necessary. We believed her and thought that she knows best. But it was a mistake. The restaurant was full and we didn't manage to eat there.
I could have rated the service very good if not for the above incident.
Overall, the hotel is still a good choice for its location and clean room.
