But what I really liked was that staff was very friendly and useful (and very communicate in both French and English), they really took time and gave effort to help.
The room was a standard Mercure room - rather modern and clean. The bed and pillows, but this might be a matter of taste, were too hard.
Huge minus is the small bathroom. OK, it was clean, but I don't like that it look like being made of one pre-built element, it looks cheap. I would rather expect that in an Etap hotel, but not in Mercure. I wouldn't also recommend to have breakfast in the hotel. The price was rather too high, and one can find lots of nice places for French breakfast within 15-minutes walk.
Good location, rather expensive hotel parking (I believe it could be cheaper to park in the garage located two blocks away) - one day costs as much as one day at Lyon airport. Even if you do not trust strangers driving your car, allow them to bring your car to the parking, the way up in that building is a nightmare.
But anyway, I would recommend this hotel if someone asked me about place to stay in Lyon.
