“A very pleasant meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

Walked the very short distance this evening from the hotel to the Brasserie du Palais. Had a very reasonably priced meal meal with wine for 3 for under €120. Entrees were massive !! and extremely well presented, Mains very also quite substantial, and very well presented, tastewise it was excellent, the staff were very good. and generally well worth a try I'd say.

“If you like sea food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2012 via mobile

Try the sea food platter for €23.00 you won't find a better meal for the value. Pity it sits by a road because it should be by the water.

“Great value for money fish dishes.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2012 via mobile

They have a full menu at 23€ wich is great value for money. The seafood dishes are absolutely fantastic. I personally had oysters and grilled salmon.

“Great for the lone traveller”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2012 via mobile

Opposite the Novotel with many people dining alone this was a good place to be. Well lit with TV's showing news/football and a fast friendly service made me feel comfortable and welcome.
Nicely prepared food, especially the Magret du Canard. Wine by carafe was an excellent local(ish) St Joseph.
If you have to be in Grenoble on your own then seek this place out.

“Great seafood, fun & friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2012

This restaurant is across the street from the Novotel hotel in Grenoble, near the train station. They have the biggest, most succulent oysters (French: "huitres") I have tasted outside of Bolinas, CA. The staff is very friendly, and happy to serve you in English or French. Other standout seafood dishes are the grilled scallops (coquilles) "a planche" (on a cedar plank). Steaks and lamb chops are also good, and make sure to leave room for their fabulous desserts (and I rarely eat dessert!). Of course, you will want to drink the good French wine with your meal. Quite affordable, and generally a lively atmosphere. Highly recommended.
