“Confortable, good position for the city and for business”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

Confortable hotel for business around that area. It is closed to some main companies and the Alpexpo center. The center of the city is reachable by tram just outside the hotel.
Quiet rooms and well managed, nice staff.

I was staying in a single room for a whole week and was quite pleased at the start but once i looked closer poor maintenance and cleaning kept springing up every which way.

The rooms equipment was ok and it has been cleaned superficially. After i removed the brown cover blanket of the bed (pictures) i noticed white stains on the inside, i.e. has not been washed.
Furthermore the bathroom was superficially clean but badly maintained, defective silicone groves, fungal growth, stains from aircon lecage. In addition to those things the aircon did not work on almost the whole level (as i inferred from the room number on the maintenance guys list who checked it)

As i was traveling with a motorcycle i rented a parking space in their garage, which was located under the hotel pool, featuring a leaking outlet pipe, i.e. water was running down the wall onto the floor at regular intervals. To add insult to injury you do NOT get a reserved parking space, and the garage was so cramped (more people paid than there where spaces) so navigating was so difficult that one guest dared to simply move my (locked) motorcycle from my paid space. (i was furious as i paid 25€ for it)

And last but not least the breakfast... it costs 13€ per day and well it is so not worth it. What you get is extremely basic, dirt cheap and not all that well cleaned stuff, hard bread (e.g. there is no toaster, you simply have to make due with the toasted stuff on offer (which is hard like almost all the other bread). But what struck me the most was that i accidentally looked under one of the coffee vending machines (the sort of you expect to dispense hot liquid for 50 cent at a garage...). Well it was stained heavily and has obviously not been cleaned in a very long time. The last thing i recognized that the boiled eggs (cold) where always in the same place, (exactly the same) and everday only the first one was missing. No one ever took another one the entire week... i supect they were the same for the whole seven days. (For which i have no proof)

On the Upside: 2 out of three staff members at the reception where helpful and polite.

In conclusion: It is serviceable if your expectations are a roof, warm water and superficial cleaning, otherwise i do tend to think that you may look elsewhere...

PS: Why i did not complain furiously during my stay? I had a horrible travel to the hotel, technical difficulties (needed a dealership for my motorcycle) so i was glad i had a bed and warm water.

Booked a standard room, and found it to be quite spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a cut above what you usually get in French hotels, with eggs, ham, muesli and juice in addition to the traditional white bread and marmelade.

Staff was efficient and reasonably friendly. Location was convenient for ring road, expo and business park.

As a bonus, the view of the nearby mountains was nice and the internet was free.

On the downside the rooms, and the entire hotel, was very dark. Less brown and more lights would have been nice. The elevators were inadequate and slow. The hotel was located some distance from the center; however a tram line passes just outside which is convenient.

All in all, a good hotel for business stays, especially if your destination is nearby.

Room Tip: Rooms high up have nice views of the mountains.

Very impressed with the customer service of the hotel chain after a few date changes and the facilities on offer. Great deal with a booking site and rooms spacious and clean, comfortable. The location is some distance from the city centre.

Were very impressed with this place which is all that you want on a short stay, excellent service, clean, modern, large rooms, secure parking, sufficient facilities on site (gym/pool) and convenient location from ring road. Only down side is the breakfast appeared a little expensive for what it was and the secure parking is an extra 10€.

Hotel is easy accessible from the highway south of Grenoble. On itself a non interesting area, business like Expo. However, perfect for 1 night stay to travel from north to south (which I did) and to treat yourself in a welcoming hotel. Free Internet, garage parking (travel belongings in the car well covered during the night), a bathroom that is spacious and well equipped, a bed that can host three ...

The hotel and the rooms are ok, nothing fancy but comfortable enough. I am quite perky concerning the noise that can be heard from within a hotel room, particularly from other visitors of the hotel. I was not very satisfied on this point, as the rooms are not really soundproof and you could hear people from other rooms slamming doors or moving things around. But nothing catastrophic. A short note that may interest some: there is a sauna, a fitness center and an outdoor pool in the hotel (I did not try them).
The room is located close from the Alpexpo exhibition center and from a large commercial center open till 8 pm. I would not recommend venturing further around at night, as you can feel that there are some social issues in the neighborhood.
