“Love the Location-But not the firm Matress”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

We just spent 4 night in La Loze. The location is superb, in the heart of 1850 and so close to the slopes & ski lifts its practically ski in ski out. The ski room on the bottom floor allows each guest a storage locker to keep their boots & skis and it practically opens onto the street across drom the lifts. The breakfast, fireside, is more than adequate and very filling. Coffee served with steamy, frothy milk with choices of cold meats and a massive assortment of baked goods. The staff were very friendly & helpful and the rooms & bathrooms always seemed very clean. My one big gripe was the mattress-very very firm and I found the comforter a bit shabby. But overall a good experience.

Right across the slopes, ski lifts and gondola, this cozy and friendly hotel stays true to their advertising and overall online offer. It is a small hotel with a big ambience. We were a group of 5 families (23 in total) staying for a week and everyone had only positive comments. The lobby and the rooms look exactly as they do on their web site. My family, a group of four, had two rooms -Suite 21 and 22 with views to the slopes and a nice terrace. Furnished with a TV, well sized closets, nightstands, phone, medium size bathrooms with shower and tub, hair blower, toiletries and fluffy towels. Everything very clean and well maintained. Breakfast is served buffet style and you can order eggs any style as other side dishes. Afternoon tea and spirits are optional and served for a fee charged to your room. Since they do not offer lunch or dinner they have the menus of almost every restaurant in the area which are at walking distance and they will gladly make any reservation. They did manage to get us tables for 23 at the five restaurants we booked during our stay. A special word has to go to the hotel staff, everyone is very helpful and nice. Front desk personnel is 5 star. The hotel also offers lockers free of charge to store your ski equipment. We rented ours in the shop downstairs because the equipment is first class and the staff is absolutely helpful and polite.

Room Tip: Rooms 21 and 22 have access to a terrace and beautiful unique views.

Other reviewers have used this as their title and I feel it is appropriate. It certainly does not have the feel of a huge hotel but has rather a cosy friendly ambience. The staff were friendly and courteous. The hotel puts on afternoon tea and cakes in the lounge area overlooking the ski fields.Although there is a cost for this,it is well worth it as you can eat as much as you like and the cakes are mouthwatering.
The rooms are clean and tidy and location is well...........perfect!Opposite main ski lifts. The hotel has an arrangement with a ski shop downstairs and they store your skis/boots for free even if you dont rent there skis.I would suggest you rent their equipment however as it is excellent quality and the staff at this shop are friendly and very attentive.
You cannot eat dinner at the hotel only breakfast (which is of good quality). There are several restuarants nearby that have good food for dinner.
Although it is rated 3 star, the hotel really should have a 4 star rating.

We have stayed in this hotel many times over the years and will be back here next month.
The location is smack in the middle of the village and next to slopes n Croisette.
If you want to enjoy lunches up the mountain and forego dinner ,then this is the place .
A lovely lounge with log fire n drinks if required.
A tad noisy during the night since it's so hot that windows have to be left ajar and then traffic noise is fierce.
Rooms are beautifully clean and service is brilliant. Good value even if a little expensive.

Stayed several years ago but the service and welcome was perfect. A bit too hot and noisy, being in the centre of town but this can be overlooked when eating breakfast looking out over the piste and the snow coming down gently!
