Thank you for your reply...and attempt to keep your Hotel's reputation pristine, unfortunately I am going to have to dispute your remarks and 'version of events' point by point.
Firstly, in reference to the 'Brick Wall' my father spoke of, this was merely a figure of speech, the unattractive view we were met with was in fact an alarmingly close view of another chalet where we could quite clearly look in to their rooms, I am sure you'd agree unless you are visually impaired that that the only view of the mountain from the first room we were given was at an angle on the balcony which we had to go out of our way to appreciate.
I find it very hard to believe the hotel was 'fully booked' as you say as my brother and myself seemed to be the only guests staying when we first arrived. The hotel showed no signs of being busy or rushed off their feet at all. I appreciate your attempts at trying to meet our needs with as you say perks such as a fruit bowl and the free non alcoholic mini bar however I believe we were faced with a bill at the end of our stay that still meant we had to pay nearly 1000 euro's for what was really a few bottles of still water and perhaps a diet coke. As for the massage we had no idea you even had a spa! we were certainly not prompted, guided, or advertised a spa treatment...and as a young girl who takes great pleasure and appreciation in these kinds of facilities I would have willingly accepted and been enthused by the opportunity I was not aware of!
Concerning the restaurant, unfortunately I only visited this once, my reason being I was presented with cabbage when I had ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad...which I had thought a simple and straight order...therefore when faced with this mistake I concluded I would not return to eat at the restaurant to save us both the trouble!
Your next point, which I find rather shocking to be perfectly honest...totally bemuses me! Is it considered unacceptable to obtain a do not disturb sign on our door on occasion? I feel that you are exaggerating how often
this sign was present as I'm sure you know we didn't spend a whole lot of time at the hotel itself. We made a point of taking the sign away when we left to ski to assure it would be thoroughly cleaned upon our return which the majority of the time it was not! As for our private possessions...the 'Mink coat' 'I Pad' etc you speak of so publicly I wasn't aware that these belongings affected the hotel staff in any way or that they would ever be so publicly broadcast or held against us, I suppose guests hotel room
confidentiality is another trait your hotel does not posses! Thankfully no burglary was to deplore, maybe due to the fact that I only ever left the room un locked one time I remember this well as I am normally very organized and together, I would certainly hope that the guests and staff at the hotel would not be capable of thieving however you leave me questioning this slightly with the baffling interest to our belongings?!
In relation to your staff and their 'helping us outside the hotel walls' to get to our beds, this is categorically un true and you have simply plucked that out of thin air! It seems to me like your clutching at straws and I'd have to question how on earth our behavior outside the hotel is your business or affects you in any way! I apologize that we went out upon arrival of our holiday in excitement and returned at what you consider an un acceptable hour, as a 20 year old woman I tend to make my own decisions on what time I will return to my paid hotel room and I was totally un aware that there was clearly an elusive curfew un mentioned! Or at the very least a whole lot of judgement flying around the hotel based on our Christmas celebrations. This tale of a doctor is a figment of a quite clearly deluded imagination! Please don't insult our intelligence...we are well behaved young adults and would definitely remember intoxicating our selves to the point of medical assistance.
My last point is to simply say My father and mother staying at a hotel up the road was a family decision based upon the celebrations that you have insulted, questioned and judged. Our parents wanted us to enjoy our selves and have a fun grown up holiday without feeling like we were being watched 247...I am sure other families with trusting parents would have done the same thing however this incentive has been totally ruined by the fact that we were quite clearly watched through out our stay! By members of your staff and yourself! I find it extremely disrespectful, intrusive and inappropriate that you would use the word 'abandonment' to critique my fathers parenting.
In conclusion, I could write a book on my disappointment of my stay at your hotel, and a second book on your even more disappointing response to a perfectly acceptable and fair complaint. A few personal critiques and perhaps constructive criticism for your '4 STAR' hotel
. It is standardly hygienic and expected from a hotel of your criteria to have regularly changed bed sheets
.Clean towels daily which we never received
. A stocked up mini bar with basics such a water etc
which you failed to provide
. Working electricity
. British channels on your complimentary televisions for your English speaking guests
. Room service...if even on occasion...would be nice which you also did not offer
. A generally comfortable, happy, non invasive yet helpful atmosphere and staff
All of the above is what one would expect on tap when you're paying rates such as 500 euros per night for a room. I did not receive any of these simple luxuries.
I hope for your sake you take this complaint in to serious consideration, its purely for your benefit not mine as I certainly do not plan on returning to the Les Trois Vallee's hotel in the future, I'd also recommend learning to take criticism more professionally seeing as you claim to have worked in hospitality and management for over a decade! I would expect you to be more apologetic and understanding than defensive and rude...of course my expectations seem to be totally meaningless to you, so Good Luck.
