“very expensive, lots of better choices for less $”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2014

Food was good, but for the price not worth it. A bit sterile environment, hotel restaurant. Not sure how this place is rated so well. We have dined at 15-20 spots in Chamonix, some Michelin rated, this was not up to par with most of the other spots in the city. And its on the far end of the town so depending on where you are staying, the walk is certainly not worth it. We wont be going back.

“michelen star??”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2014

Went to Le Bistrot on saturday the 8th of march 2014. 6 people had tasting menu.
Only one of the dishes was ok, the rest was awful!
first course was a pumpkin mousse with bits of cured ham, the ham was tough and had a glazed look as it had been lying out in the heat for to long.
second course was haddock, could have been nice if the haddock wasnt rancid
third course was some local fish carpaccio, tasted lovely!
fourth course was lobster wich was way overcooked and tough as leather
fifth course was cod wich was also overcooked
sixth course was cheese, they had som really nice cheese here!
then dessert was just plain boring, none of the petit fours were antyhing special.

Wine package was ok, but not what you expect from a michelen star restaurant.

Service was courteous and efficient

“A joke and rip off”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2014

If this is a Michelin restaurant you should come to my place! Mediocre food, poor service and boring facilities. Wonder how they got this star.

“Culinary Brilliance!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2014 via mobile

We booked in here for our Xmas lunch and were duly impressed. The attentive staff looked after our every need and food was nothing short of amazing! If there was one small criticism it would be the decor of the venue - very much a minimalist perspective and a little stark which tends to erode atmosphere from the environment. Well worth a visit!
