“Good value-excellent breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013

Stayed for four days at this central located hotel.Had nice rooms with good views. A bit rundown and rustic but considered good value. The breakfast is excellent and the personnel very friendly and helpful.I can recommend the Thursday night BBQ for 16€.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the station and the gaciers.

This Hotel is old with plumbing smells that need to be addressed. We were allocated a good sized room overlooking the back , but the smell from the drains in the bathroom were so awful that we asked to change rooms. Throughout our stay when going from the bar to the stairs the same smell was evident in the lift and corridors. We were transferred to a larger room with a balcony with a view of Mont Blanc. Our room had a wet room shower which is impractical if you wanted to go back and dry your hair or have a shave. The hotel had a good breakfast buffet hot and cold and this will set you up for a good days hiking or skiing. The staff were helpful and you can buy lift passes at reception. Car parking is free but soon fills up. If you are arriving by train the hotel is just opposite. You'll need to book your evening meal when checking in although the bar food is very good. With a choice to suit most pallets. This Hotel is central to all the ski lifts within walking distance as are all the shops and restaurants . A good base to explore from in Summer.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the front of the hotel have small balcony with good views of mountains.

We have stayed at this hotel several times. It is very good with nice rooms and friendly service. Several of the employees are Swedes and they are happy to help if you have questions. The restaurant has a very high level and in the bar they have very good live music

Over a two week period whilst doing tour du Mont Blanc we stayed at this hotel on three separate occasions. Excellent team of receptionists. The hotel is well placed with all attractions within walking distance. Breakfasts were excellent. Rooms of a adequate size and we had no problems with beds. We would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Higher rooms have less noise from bar area. Just be aware of train/bus station noise in morning.

A brilliant hotel, great meals and a young friendly team in charge of a well run hotel. The breakfasts were delicious and abundant, the packed punch was almost ... I said almost too much and the four course dinners were lovely and I'm a veggie!
The bar is reputed to be the eleventh best bar in the world during the winter.

Room Tip: On the fourth floor with a balcony, facing the Gare (railway station) and the Mont Blanc mountain ra...

We had been in hotel for 3 nights. Room were gud. We got the view of Aiguile De midi from our room. Hotel staffs were quite cooperative. We bought Mont Blanc Pass from hotel only. They also helped us in planning our trip. The location of the hotel is very good. Mer De Glace, Le Brevent and Aiguilie de midi is in walking distance. Overall, it was a nice stay and i will love to stay again here.
