“A great find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

Les Balcons Du Savoy was the perfect choice for my wife and I and the 2 other couples we were travelling with. Easy stroll through a field to the centre of Chamonix. The 2 bedroom apartments were spacious and well set out and decorated if in a slightly tired and a bit of a rustic manner. Underground secure car parking was an added bonus. The views of the Mont Blanc Massif were absolutely amazing. This a truly beautiful part of the world. It was our second visit and I'm sure we will return.

We spent two nights at Les Balcons du Savoy in the quiet off-season and the 1 BR apartment was well appointed, tidy, and perfect for getting over jet lag and relaxing before touring around the nearby Swiss Alps. Our son enjoyed sleeping in the trundle bed and our bedroom had very nice quality linens. The walk through the field below the property made getting to/from Chamonix town very easy. The view from our balcony of the Midi du Aguille was priceless, and the manager Inga was very helpful and kind. It was really nice to be able to self-cater with such a nice quality kitchen. I am looking forward to coming back one day.

Room Tip: Are there balconies with bad views here? Hard to imagine.

We stayed in a 1 BR on the ground floor facing the Mont Blanc. Unit was really nice. Loved the view, location and hotel. Used the indoor pool one day. Common areas were very well maintained. Would love to come back.

We have just returned last Sunday from Les Balcons and stayed for 4 nights in their two bedroom apartment with two bathrooms. Their were 5 of us myself and my husband and two sons 11 and 13 and our 19 year old daughter. The accomadation was exactly what we wanted, rustic charm and plenty of space for everyone, and so much storage space you could find a home for everything. The location of the hotel is absolutely superb! you can walk into Chamonix within a couple of minutes and also to the cable car, glacier train and luge sites with a short walk. We took the cable car to the top of Mount Blanc and walked down from the first stop which took about 2 hours 30 minutes with a short break. We went to the glacier on the train and again walked back down in about 1 hour 20 minutes both were very enjoyable walks for the whole family. It snowed last weekend so we were lucky enough to see the whole place looking stunningly white! We ate out two nights and cooked in two nights which was a lovely mixture and really enjoyed the local way of cooking steak were they give you a hot plate and raw steak and you cook your own... Also the cheese fondues...We took a trip to Italy one day through the Monut Blanc tunnel 40 Euros for one way, and then had lunch in a lovely old italian pizzeria and came back another route with spectacular views. If you a skier then the chair lifts are very close to this hotel and the nursery slopes just outside. There is a lovely little pool and a sauna, (button outside on the wall to inrease the temperature) and a great kids games room which kept our boys amused for the odd hour here and there. The staff and very helpful and speak excellent english, we had a problem one night when our table collapsed through no fault of our own and we were worried that they might try to charge us for the damage but they were very understandinga nd no charge was made. All in all if we retunred to Chaminox then I would not book anywhere else, highly recommended!!

Great apartment hotel we stayed there for 4 days in July and we are a familiy with 3 children. The apartment was fine with two rooms, kitchen etc. The view of Mont Blanc just outside the window was So nice and a nice long balcony to sit and enjoy the view.
The hotel has an indoor pool where you actually also can see the MB through a glass ceiling .
Good facilities for parking, washing machine, pool tables etc. We will go back another time.

We did not try the restaurant.

I can really not find one negative thing to say, so that is good!

I could recommend this hotel for skiing, good location, near lift, very spacious rooms with kitchen, clean, nice pool (a bit too cold, but overall ok), quite friendly staff. The best asset of this hotel is his location, so I could recommend for staying during skiing.
