“Astonishing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

This is unlike any other cablecar, telecabin or chairlift I have ever been on. It does not go up a mountain and neither does it go down a mountain. It glides magically between mountain peaks, all at well over 3000 metres, crossing briefly into Italy at Hellbronner Peak, swooping gently over Vallee Blanche and the outcrops of Mont Blanc, deafening you with the silence of high altitude and extreme snowy beauty. The only telecabin in the world to cross an international border it is truly a one-off. It takes a full hour and you will never again feel like you are getting a bird's eye view, nor will you spend an hour in such magestic silence as here.

“Amazing views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013

You get amazing views of the glaciers, Mont Blanc and all the climbers. The round trip takes about 1 hour and we were a bit disappointed as, due to maintenance work we could not get off onto the glacier before returning- we just did a complete loop. This was not explained to us prior to purchasing the tickets.

“Exciting trip over the glacier to Italian Alps”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

This was NOT included in the Aiguille du Midi lift price but it was still a great adventure. A little gondola of four people takes you out over the Mont Blanc glacier above mountain climbers and you really feel like you are on the top of the world. Sunglasses and sunscreen a must on this day!

“Twice in a week!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

fantastic views of Mont Blanc from the top of the Aiguille De Midi cable car. Really amazing. Great to go up after a good day's skiing. Lift closes at 4:30pm so you have to get up before in order to have a short walk about and catch the views. We didn't stay too long but there is a cafe if you want to have a drink..... Easy to get to in central Chamonix and free on the unlimited chamonix lift pass.

“Espectacular!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

One of the best rides! The views are spectacular. You wonder how this can be so beautiful. We got to the pick, it's €50 pp but it so worth it. You enjoy every minute of the ride going up and down. Don't forget to take your camera, sunglases, applied sun block protection, at the top is very cold. Bring a parka, snow or hiking boots, and hat or ear protection. Keep your entry ticket very handy, you will need it all the time going up or down.
Between funiculars you have to climb some stairs. Do not hurry to the top, if you feel light headed rest a little bit and continue climbing.
They have a cafeteria at the top, good chocolate and hot soup, for keeping hydratated and warm. We went for a late lunch in an outdoor cafe in the village of Chamonix.
