Annecy is one of our favourite places in the world! It is such a beautiful, relaxing place to spend your holiday. This hotel was in the best location, right in the middle of the old town. However, for the elderly, for very young children or those with bad knees, it takes a VERY steep path to get there. Every time you go to/from your accommodation you have to go up/down this path.
The accommodation was nice, but the room was pretty small and we didn't realise there was no airconditioning. We were in Annecy in June and it was so hot in the room at night, even with a few fans going, we had to sleep with wet towels on us and we were pretty uncomfortable. And to be honest, they were the most threadbare oldest towels we'd ever seen. Next time we would spend another 20-30 Euros or so and stay somewhere a little nicer when we return to Annecy.
