“Comfortable and in an Excellent Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

Other reviewers have covered the salient points of this Hotel. Rooms are compact but its location means you have more time to spend in this beautiful city. The Old Town and the Lake are less than ten minutes walk away.
The staff, especially Beatrice were endlessly helpful and patient. It's worth a stay just to ride in the world's tiniest lift.

Room Tip: Rooms at the rear appear to be larger than those facing the street.

Very nice welcome. Very helpfull staff. Parking in front of hotel entrance allowed and well arranged for unloading luggage. Parking well arranged at guarded parking places partly paid by the hotel. Excellent location in city centre. Buffet breakfast very nice for french standards. Good beds good airco only too little space between bed and bathroom door.

Stayed for 2 nights in Sept 2013. Good location close to main centre. Parking is an issue - would recommend parking in public parking area near Bibliotech and walking to hotel. The hotel will refund the overnight fee, and recommend you move vehicle to free parking about a km out of centre near the lake. The hotel room was sizeable and clean. The reception people helpful and spoke excellent English (and French). Overall good value.

Any one who wants or expects a 5 star hotel don't go Anyone who wants a lovely clean and friendly hotel this is the hotel for you. The rooms were small but comfortable ,small bathroom but no complaints. The rooms were cleaned every day and was always nice to come back to after a long day. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. A special mention to beatrice who gave us good advice and always had a smile on her face. The breakfast was good value for money .

Hotel du Nord is exactly what I expected when I booked a relatively cheap 2-star hotel in Annecy. The room was small but clean and completely adequate. Very close to the train station and just a short walk to the old town center. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We needed a hotel near the train station for an overnight stay and this hotel met our requirements perfectly. It was also value for money, close to Annecy Lake and the old town. the room was a reasonable size and the beds very comfortable. The shower was small but the water hot. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had the 8 Euro buffet breakfast and it was very nice. I enjoyed my stay.

This was my second stay here, the last being four years ago.I chose this hotel a second time because, relying on public transport, I wanted to be close to the station and I knew this hotel was satisfactory.I like to be close to the station for arrival and departure by train and day trips by bus.The main bus station is next to the train station.I The hotel is not far from the old town and the beautiful lake.

I stayed 5 nights with my adult daughter in a twin room , number 22.This room faced the street and although there are double windows, it is a busy street and there is still some noise which might worry sensitive people.I was told that there are no twin rooms which do NOT overlook the street.

I paid 78 euros per night, not including breakfast. On the last morning ,with an early departure ,they let me have limitless coffee for 2 euros ,without having breakfast. This hotel is a member of the Citotel chain so members can accrue loyalty points.

The beds were comfortable and there is air conditioning, free wifi and a small lift. Our room had a shower only, no bath, and the hot water was a bit slow to arrive. There was room for 2 suitcases but no fridge, kettle or safe.

The reception staff were friendly and helpful with good English.

Room Tip: There is some noise from the street despite double windows. If you are noise sensitive, consider aski...
