“A big thank you”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2012

A belated but heart felt thank you to William and his team for their help during our stay in the Le Domaine in August. Aside from the daily croissants ( which were a nice treat!) William and his son and daughter in law "rescued" us from the other side of a mountain at 10.30pm one evening when the key broke off in the lock of our hire car. They made a 1 hour round trip to pick us up and then in the morning went and brought the car back to us......! We were extremely grateful for this and his attention during our stay.

Only3 of us stayed in Le Domaine, a charming old farm house, although it caters for 10, so we had plenty of room to roam around in and our own large private pool. The gardienne kept the place spotless. The nights were very warm so William supplied us with much needed fans. He even sourced a shaver adaptor for me to use....and booked a table for us in a restaurant (the best seats in the house!) ..so a big thank you from us

I cannot adequately express what a wonderful time we had during our stay at Provence Paradise. There is not one thing we would have changed during our stay! We should have stayed a few more days. We found and the additional 5 days in Paris prior to returning home was just too long. We have told our friends about our 'perfect vacation' in St. Remy and I am sure you will be having some of them as your guests.

If we can arrange our schedule we would like to return either 2013 or 2014. After returning home and our other grandchildren hearing our stories and seeing our photographs they all want to go to Provence Paradise in St. Remy.

My wife and I just returned from a visit to Provence Paradise and we can't stop talking about what a wonderful time we had there. We were joined by my son and his wife, and our lodging including two magnificent master bedrooms, a very comfortable living room. a dining room and kitchen. There's also a bedroom with two sets of bunk beds in case you bring kids. St. Remy de Provence is a picturesque town with easy access to Avignon, Arles and Aix en Provence. William, the owner and proprietor or Provence Paradise, provides guests with delicious baked goods from a local patisserie in the morning. These cottage type houses are tastefully furnished and extremely comfortable as lodging and reminiscent of buildings much older than these are. The grounds are impeccably maintained, the venue is close to downtown, restaurants are plentiful, and all in all, if you're interested in a trip to Southern France then Provence Paradise is the place you have to stay!

Room Tip: All the rooms are good rooms.

La Tuilerie was the perfect location for my birthday trip to Provence. We had a core group of 6 with 8 additional friends and family joining us over the course of the week. The house, pool and grounds were exactly as advertised but more charming and relaxing than I could have ever imagined. We used the large patio every night for dining al fresco and coffee/planning sessions each morning. William and his staff were over-the-top accommodating and made every thing so easy and pleasant. The location is perfect for day trips or just walking into St Remy (our favorite village). My only wish is that I will one day be able to return for another taste of paradise!

Recently spent a week at Provence Paradise with my wife, parents and sister--and without exaggerating--this was the trip of a lifetime, for all five of us. "La Bastide" was an amazing cottage. Hundreds of years old--all the charm you could ever imagine in a old provencal cottage--with sparkling clean modern amenities. We particularly enjoyed eating dinner in the sun room each night, cooking food from the local market and countless artisan shops, and laying by the beautiful pool. We will never be able to say enough about the staff. They are what truly made the stay beyond special. From providing us with recommendations on where to eat, how to rent bikes, to helping us through a medical emergency--they made our stay better than great--they made it perfect. We seriously get scared when we think about what would have happened had we NOT chosen to stay at Provence Paradise and its truly genuine, honest, caring, wonderful staff. We'll never be able to thank them enough.

Provence itself is legendary for good reason--and St Remy is a perfect slice of all that is Provence. I recommend renting a car and/or bike--and explored all that Provence has to offer--and St Remy is a perfect place to do it from. Close to the Luberon, Avignon, Arles, and countles other gems.

My last piece of advice, book as many days as you can, because you're really never going to want to leave.

Thank you again for everything Provence Paradise--we will never forget how wonderful you were--and we will absolutely be back again!

We have been fortunate enough to stay at places all over France and Italy. This is a special place, run by a special group of people--We cannot recommend this place highly enough.

I was delighted with our accommodations, lots of places within our house to relax, read, watch tv, do laundry, catch a nap, fix a snack and enjoy a glass of wine or two. We met fellow travelers and enjoyed meals and wine with them. We enjoyed the pool, our outdoor patio and taking walks into the very lovely town of St Remy. Lots of neat shops, lots of good restaurants but not touristy. We walked to the asylum where Van Gogh spent a year ( very interesting tour). Enjoyed seeing the French taking their (very well behaved) dogs with them everywhere from cafe to museum. William is the icing on the cake but Provence Paradise is indeed a paradise which I will return to!

We have returned home from our 9th holiday in The Orangerie in Provence Paradise.
I can confirm all the good things that have been said about Paradise from the set table, chambred wine with a delicious meal, to the well stocked fridge and delivery of breakfast croissants.A life saver after a long journey for all guests. Where else do guests receive such consideration?
We now know and appreciate the charms of the area. St. Remy town is well within strolling distance of Paradise. The Wednesday market spread all around the town is an absolute must. Here is the place to buy not only fruit & salad supplies but Marseilles soap, scarves, and a multitude of things, have a look to see what catches your eye!
The town has a multitude of events at various times from local Wine Tasting ( a very French affair ), local artists and craftsmen exhibitions, sporting displays in the Square by the local associations and the Carmargue horsemen who bring their bulls to parade around the town under strict security of course. To mention but a few.
The town has other attractions including a Van Gough trail, for it was here that the artist spent time and painted some of his most famous paintings. The trail shows pictures of these sites which are still reconisable today.
For Roman history enthusiasts Glanum has a huge Roman site to be followed by a visit to the Pont Du Gard, Les Beaux, and the Nimes and Arles Arenes still in use today.
Not to be missed are the villages of the Luberon. A wander and lunch on the terrace of a shady cafe go down a treat - always try the Plat Du Jour!
For children canoeing and horse riding can be fun and the Crocodile Farm is a must. Unpromisingly sited next to a power station here are housed 500 crocs in as natural a setting as possible. Amazing to be so close to these creatures. A visit to the flat extemely fertile area of the Camargue to see the rice paddies, white horses and black bulls ending at Aigues Mortes the walled town for lunch in the town square is another must.
I could go on but do your research before you come - no time- well William is of course a font of knowledge and will be only too happy to help with suggestions.
However do leave time to appreciate the lovely gardens and the swimming pool to relax in Paradise after a busy day.
Needless to say we are secure in the knowledge that we have booked for next year!!.

PROVENCE PARADISE is a cluster of six Provencal farm houses from the 17th century. We began complete restoration in 2004 and finished in 2008. The property is perched on a hill just over St. Remy de Provence, which is not far from Avignon. It's only a 10-minute walk to the centre of the old village. Sunshine 332/365 days/year. The gardens are lush and a small stream makes its way toward the watermill, where water cascades to make the wheel turn slowly. International family environment.
