“Nice road for a drive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

This is a pretty place to take a drive if you enjoy the ocean. Where are some port features to see and one beach that was not big. Further along perhaps... There are historic buildings as you travel along. One was supposed to be 13th century. There are also fortifications on nearby islands. On a Thursday morning it wasn't too busy. Worthwile for an overview of the city. On the horizon you can see the cathedrals on the city hills.

“Stunning seafront walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

This road is very impressive and will bring to between the Old Port and Le Prado, (beaches area). Along the way you will be able to see lots of interesting and very beautiful things:
-Catalan beach, narrow beach with rock all around
-la Porte de l'Orient, memorial to the dead western soldiers in the different wars.
-Vallon des Auffres, small harbour and village in the heart of Marseille's central hill
-Le marégraphe, building dedicated to measure the sea level, for a long time used to define the reference point in France.
-parc et Villa Valmer, quiet and small vegetal area.

But the most amazing about this road is the view on the sea, the islands and the Calanques reliefs southern.
