“simple and great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

It's a great address if you want to eat tasty and not expensive simple food. The stuff is helpful and willing to advice you on what to choose. Great variety of dishes. We tried marseillais aioli, which is a piece of fish, cooked vegetables and mayonaise with garlic, simple but delicious, definitely a must try! There is also a boutique inside if you want to buy organic food. Great place but better book in advance!

“Boy - what a little gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

As other reviewers have said - this is a real find and will I eat there again every time I am in Marseile? You bet I will! It will take a bit of effort to find it but if you "follow the little RED line" from the old port you will eventually find it. The red line is a tourist walk round "la panier" district. The sevice was excellent, the wine suggested was brilliant (€18) and the plat de jour even better. Yes it is small but that helps the quality of the food and the presentation. Do try it - you wont be disappointed

“Hidden gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

Sorry for the cliched title, but this really was a great find. So many restaurants in Marseille are overpriced, finding this was perfect for us. They're located at the back of a shop (of the same name) and can pack up to 18 people into a small space. But the atmosphere is intimate, warm and friendly, rather than crowded. The food is of excellent quality with very good portions. The wine is just table wine, with the sole white option being better than the sole red option. It's a 1 minute walk (up the hill on the left) from the Museum of Archaeology. They don't open in the evenings which is a shame, but this is an excellent place to go for lunch.

“Boutique et restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

A fabulous find in the Le Panier area of Marseille. While strolling through the streets, six friends stumbled upon this fabulous boutique/restaurant. The restaurant is tiny but the amazing cook/owner found room for all of us to have lunch and enjoy fresh, local, organic ingredients.
If you are there on Friday or Saturday the chef offers Aioli which you must order if on the menu.
The chef was also the server and the interpreter and sales person of the wonderful products in the small shop in the front.
Do not miss this experience.
