I stayed here for one night in November and the whole experience was absolutely awful.
As soon as we arrived we were made to feel very unwelcome and were treated as if we shouldn't be there. The staff were the rudest and most hostile I've ever come across, talking about us amongst themselves and to other guests in French (a language they didn't think we could understand) whilst we paid the bill.
They made us wait 2 hours to check into a room that was already available and when we were finally allowed to go up we were given a room on the top floor despite the fact others were available and there are no lifts. I really did feel that the staff were being deliberately unhelpful and obstructive, seemingly going out of there way to make our stay as unpleasant as possible.
There were no clean towels so we had to go around the other vacant rooms trying to find some, it then became apparent to us that although all the rooms were pretty abismal, we had been given the worst one in the building. There were wires hanging from the walls, the carpet was filthy and I only slept in the bed out of sheer exhaustion.
If you have got ANY option other than to stay in this hotel, I would strongly advise you to take it! How it has got any stars at all is completely beyond me!
