“A Glorious Experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2014

We truly loved our stay at Pascal's lovely B & B. The grounds and rooms are elegantly designed and laid out. There is attention to every detail in both sleeping rooms and common areas to create a sense of beauty, ease and hospitality. The breakfasts were delicious, simple and satisfying with generous portions and good variety. Fruit, breads/pastries and all have all been carefully selected for quality and taste.

We stayed in the cube room - the beds and sheets were extremely comfortable. The room had marvelous details like mood lights that changed color, high quality audio equipment, electronic adapters and a fabulous shower. The rooms were spotless each day and I liked the lovely way our things were straightened up We peeked after showering for dinner to find two glasses of rose and a dish of local olives awaiting us.

Pascal is the consummate host treating each person like an honored guest or friend. He not only met our needs; he anticipated them. His recommendations for touring the area were spot-on for us. He suggested some beautiful drives and steered us in the direction of the quieter villages with charm and authenticity. His maps were more helpful than the GPS (the GPS was an important backup for us) His restaurant suggestions were fabulous too. Although St Remy wasn't my favorite town, we were thrilled at his suggestion to eat at Maison Druout. It was one of our favorite meals in France.

The B & B is well located in the Luberon area which allowed us to easily reach the destinations we wanted to see. It was situated well for walks through the countryside or up to Gordes. Pascal was so responsive and generous with his advice both in the planning process and during our stay. We stayed in three places during our trip to France and our stay at Les Terrasses De Soubeyran was the best. He exceeded our expectations. He truly understands hospitality and service and has a heart of gold.

His dog, Gaspar, stole our heart too. His playful spirit greeted us regularly during our stay.

I can't recommend this highly enough. When we get back to France, we will surely stay here again.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at Pascal's little paradise. The property layout is very well considered, with several different areas for privacy and lounging amongst the beautiful and thoughtfully arranged plantings. Pascal is a delight! So generous and kind with directions, maps, suggestions of places to visit, where to dine, and making reservations. Generous too with breakfast offerings; delicious cafe au lait, fresh pastries, divine cheeses, and home made preserves. When we had to leave at 7:30 before the sun had even risen to catch a flight in Marseilles, Pascal brought us a beautiful breakfast tray to the cottage door, complete with snacks for the road. Now that's hospitality!
The Luberon has a lot to offer and the hilltop villages are truly gorgeous and fun to explore. Les Terraces is an ideal spot to base a visit, and our three nights was only just enough. We stayed in the La Grange cottage; comfortable and cosy. From the private little outside sitting area there is a stunning view of Gordes rising up above the cottage. Having the charming beagle, Gaspar drop by every now and then made it all the better. I would highly recommend staying with Pascal in his little slice of paradise, you'll be glad you did!

The 3 nights we stayed were the highlight of our 2 week stay in South France. We deliberated over whether to stay within one of the many hilltop towns, but in the end chose "Les Terrasses des Soubeyran" - it was the right choice. It's a few Km outside Gordes, with an idyllic view across the Luberon Valley. It's a fantastic place to watch the full moon, with a bottle of wine, very romantic.
We stayed in both "La Grange" and "Le cube" rooms - both lovely. The different buildings are newly built, but have the appearance of old rustic out-houses, with a tropical garden and lovely pool - nice for a dip after a long trek.
Pascal is the perfect host, so accommodating and generous. On our first night he gave us a nice bottle of local wine, and the next night we bumped into him at a restaurant/bar and he bought us another drink!! He also arranged a very nice picnic for us, during a trek in the local gorge. The breakfast is fantastic, and my wife has taken inspiration from Pascal's breakfast menu.
Pascal gave us some great maps and sketches of the "Gorges de La Veroncle". If you are up for a 4-5 hour walk, then this is definitely highly recommended, and within walking distance of the hotel. The next day we drove around some of the nearby hilltop towns, such as Joucas, La-Croix, Bonnieux and Roussillion. Beautiful scenery and lovely little villages. Roussillion is probably the prettiest, but Bonnieux is very authentic.
This is a great place, at very good rates for provence. We definitely highly recommend, and look forward to coming back again and meeting Pascal and Gaspar, the lovely Beagle hound.

Room Tip: We loved "La Grange". Though they are all very nice.

Les Terrasses de Soubeyran definitely felt like a home away from home. Pascal and Eric are absolutely outstanding hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. Our (grown up) family booked the entire property out for 7 days in September, 2013 and we cannot thank Pascal, in particular, enough for making our stay so comfortable and welcoming. Apart from the sumptuous breakfasts served up by Pascal each morning, the aperitifs were also a welcome finish to our day of sightseeing most evenings. Pascal's maps and suggestions on where to go and what to do around this amazing region were brilliant and we very much appreciated the intimate local knowledge he has of the entire area, from sightseeing to restaurants, to markets, to food and wines. The accommodation provided was very comfortable - the bedding and pillows were dreamlike and we always managed to have an excellent sleep. We would recommend Les Terrasses de Soubeyran to anyone looking to have a place to stay that provides the feeling of a home away from home, with everything that you could possibly need, right there for you to use - from board games to puzzles, from maps to books, from the fabulous Nesspresso coffee machine and the delicious brown sugar cubes! The region had so much to offer and we could have easily spent another week exploring this fabulous area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying again one day soon.

Les Terrasses located just outside Gordes is a wonderful base from which to explore the idyllic hilltop villages of the Louberon. Our room was lovely, immaculate and extremely comfortable. But it’s Pascal, the owner, who really sets this place apart. I can't imagine anyone friendlier and more helpful. When we checked in he offered to help us create a perfect itinerary for the following day. His recommendations were unbelievably spot-on (including the café with the best view to stop for a coffee or salad in the middle of the afternoon and the most scenic roads to drive). Naturally, we then looked forward to our daily conversation with him to discuss our plans for the following day. He made every day of our trip even better. He provides printed maps and hand-draws others for as much detail as needed. We found his directions better than the GPS. Pascal (and Gaspar, his sweet beagle) greeted us each morning with a scrumptious breakfast set on a patio with breathtaking views of Gordes. They welcomed us back at the end of our days with a glass of rose and snack. His restaurant recommendations were excellent and he somehow was able to snag the last reservation at the most popular and otherwise booked restaurants.

We spent an absolutely lovely week here for the last half of our honeymoon. It really could not have been better. The room ("Le Cube") was full of light, immaculate, well appointed and comfortable. Quite private! The rest of the B&B - from the pool area to the pretty kitchen to the landscaping - is really gorgeous; in fact, Pascal designed the whole thing (down to the pottery you see at breakfast!) in what is clearly a labor of love. Great attention to detail and thoughtful touches (like little snacks or an occasional glass of wine) make it feel really special. But by far the best part of this B&B are Pascal and Eric, who were just so gracious, friendly and kind - from hand-drawn maps and restaurant recommendations to the delicious breakfasts prepared fresh every morning. They went to great lengths to make our honeymoon memorable in every possible way and we found ourselves sad to leave! You really won't regret staying here. And as an aside, we were doubly lucky to have hit it off with the other two couples staying on the property so that made for additional fun.

Room Tip: We saw all the rooms while we stayed there. All were nice but I loved the light and airy feel of Le...

My wife and in stayed for several nights during our first visit to Provence and couldn't be more impressed with Les Terrasses. Pascal was a most excellent host and thought of every detail that made our stay among the most memorable in all our travels. From the fresh fruit, cafe au lait, natural yogurt and local artisanal breads for breakfast to the well-appointed room and travel tips, Pascal was terrific. The beautiful lane pool was especially welcoming as a pre-breakfast swim and at the end of a long day of travels. We certainly hope to return.
