“Travelling Salesman on a Budget”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2012

If you are a self employed salesman or tradesman working in the area for a couple of days and need a bed and little else then this is as good as any.
Room was clean and tidy quite large compared to other french hotels had a sink tv free Wifi and the godsend of AC in the summer time, a must. You shared a toilet but not just one there were a few on each floor also shower rooms was similar cubipicle type. Bring your own toilet paper.
Breakfast provided 4 Euros or you could walk to Mc Donalds about 10 mins away
Set of the main road in an industrail park Midway between Nice to Antebes, dont be put of by the industrail park There is a local supermarket near by which has everything you would need and the train stops a couple of times an hour at Villeneuve Loubet takes about 10 mins to Nice and about the same to Antebes. The train platform is on the beach and is in a state of refurbishment Secure parking at hotel with code access room also has code access
Functional clean and tidy. not suitable for 2 week holiday with the kids but I dont think thats their target market

Room Tip: If you can, get a triple room if you will need to store your clothes their is a bunk bed

Conforms exactly to the Formule 1 model, slightly more expensive because of Monaco Grand Prix, but still good value. Just over 5 mins walk to bus stop for Nice.

I was not happy when I arrived that there were a bunch of guys hanging out in front of the hotel. Or that I'd driven by without seeing the sign, almost all the way to Antibes.

I didn't do my homework and was surprised no private bath, but at least there was a sink.

Happy to say I had to leave for the airport at 6:30 AM and no bad things happened. The room was clean and the TV worked. There was a sink in the room.

The price is very good for the area.

Room Tip: Not really sure.

I stayed two nights at this hotel during a friends wedding. F1 is off the main road so you get away from the traffic noise. It 's about 10 minutes from the train station and 15 minutes by foot to the lovely beach. It is definitely much cheaper than other hotels in the area and on the Côte d'Azur, however they seem to take budget to a new level. My room had two single beds and a sink. It was clean and cozy but fine for one person. Having a sink in the room is nice but they only provide you with a hand-size towel, so for the shower that's what you've got. The toilets and showers are shared and you feel like you are in an airplane bathroom when in them. They are sorely in need of being updated, and they weren't that clean. The toilets do not have seats, which is fairly common in France (why is that?). The fact that the bathrooms are outside the rooms means there's quite a bit of noise from people coming and going (the toilets flush as the door is opened, which sends that noise out into the hallway). Some guests were also very noisy in the hallways. For me it worked well for a short visit where I wasn't in the room much. The trade-off to the "budget"part of it is that you will be craving a normal bathroom and might not have slept that soundly by the time you leave.

Room Tip: The "family"room looks to be the exact same size as the small two-person room, just differ...

This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, hands down. And I have travelled to more than 80 countries in the past 5 years...

The hotel is old and disgusting. The public places are not clean and the shared toilets and bathrooms are dirty and smell horribly. In addition, the hotel staff are rude and unhelpful.

In particular, I called one week before my stay to inquire about the possibility of sending a package to the hotel. I was told it would not be a problem and to send the package. I arrived at the hotel to find out that Denise, one of the rudest people I have dealt with, decided to return the package to the sender. She decided to return the package, despite the fact that I had called to confirm AND had placed the reservation number on the package. And she never even apologised! She also refused to put me in contact with her manager.

I would NEVER stay at this hotel again. Absolutely, positively horrible experience.

We stayed here for a couple of nights as part of a longer break in southern France. I last stayed at the F1 Hotels over 15 years ago when they were still quite new and fresh, unfortunately this is no longer the case and I was quite disappointed. The welcome was friendly which was nice and the price at 47 euros was acceptable. The room was basic and we expected this, the WC and showers are shared and located at the end of most corridors. This particular hotel is in need of updating, the carpets are not clean and they could do with some basic renovation work. The beds were comfortable and the car park was free. Next time we stay in the area, it will not be at this F1 but more likely another brand of hotel chain that will be slightly more expensive but probably well worth it.

Room Tip: Choose a different hotel

I wish all the F1 hotels had the sink in the WCs as this one does! The hotel does have some noisy and smoking guests though, but the location was perfect for what we wanted. Can't complain for the price. Great hotel bargain for the south of France, just bring your own towels, because this hotel chain thinks dishtowels work just as well for drying yourselves.
