“Comfortable Hotel; Easy Access; Good location on the edge of Old Vence”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2012

This is a pink hotel with decor that hints of the 1960's. It is not particularly "French," nor is it particularly charming, but it is attractive in its way. The courtyard garden in fact is stunning. There's a roof patio with great views of the crags and hillsides around Vence. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and many or all of them have decks. The hotel is easy to find from the airport, and has plenty of covered, secure parking. The old part of Vence is just a few steps away. The staff is helpful.

Delightful and knowledgeable staff provided all sorts of helpful information about the town. Room was clean, modern, mwith gorgeous view from hterrace. Quiet street with hotel parking and access to nearby buses, restaurants. Breakfast in the lovely garden was excellent. Leaving was a disappointment. I really wanted to stay longer and take more dips in the hot tub which was located on the roof with a spectacular view of the town. Try as I may, I can find nothing to complain about...

Just got back from a holiday in Vence to celebrate our wedding anniversary and stayed in this great hotel. We stayed at the matisse junior suite with a lovely view of the Garden. What i absolutely loved about this hotel is the personal touch, its like being at home, the owners, Monsieur Paul, his beautiful wife Catherine and son Alex made our stay worthwhile, the care was first class. Alex gave us tips on where to go and all the hidden attractions of the perched villages in the Area. Breakfast was great though a bit pricey at 14 euros per person but enough to fill you up for a day of sightseeing. They had a "mini library" with nice books, many in english and a few classics, i enjoyed picking up a book on my way to the rooftop solarium, soak up the atmosphere with amazing views of the village and mountains spread out in front of me.The hotel is just around the corner from the bus station bus 400 and 63 will take you to nearby Nice. The ancient village full of history, cafes and restaurants is just a 5 minutes walk. The matisse Chapel is some 20 minute walk up the hill so you are near many historic sites. Hotel Diana is definitely worth staying in again and again...

Room Tip: The matisse junior suite is spacious, has a nice view and a very comfortable double bed.

Good location, easy to find. Owners and staff very helpful. We had a room with balcony facing nicely landscaped courtyard, it was quiet. There is an underground parking garage, essential if one travels by car.

We stayed at the Hotel Diana for two nights. The location was convenient to old town and Matisse Chapel, and free parking in a garage below the hotel was very handy. The lobby was modern and stylish. However, the room was a bit shabby, definitely not stylish. The hotel's photos don't really explain that the view from the lower floors shows the back side of other modern, uninteresting buildings. The wide balcony also makes for a lot of noise from the cafe below or those nearby neighbors' balconies. All of this would be understandable for a 3 star hotel. But then, the staff asked us no less than 4 times whether we would be taking breakfast. You'd think that they'd have written down our response (no, thank you) sooner. Not bad but not great.

Stayed here 2 nights. Had a superior room with hill view. Location very handy for bars and restaurants and old town Vence. Easy to find from bus. Very handy - we arrived from Cannes and were able to travel to St Paul, Tourettes and Nice.
Rooms fine - liked having a fridge but would have loved tea/coffee making for a cuppa on the balcony. The owner seemed very nice and guy on reception was helpful. Free wi fi worked well. We didn't have breakfast but had a few drinks in the bar/lobby one night. Some nice quirky art work around.
More along the lines of a b&b than a hotel but well worth a stay.

Spent one night in this trendy little hotel and can't wait to return. The rooms are nicely furnished, the hotel is small and centrally located, and the staff friendly and helpful. A definite must stay here if in the area.
