“Amazing hotel in the heart of Nices countryside”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

The hotel was amazing and the price was unbelievable cheap for what you get with that price! There was a little problem with our booking, somehow they overbooked us, they didn't have a room for the first night, BUT the amazingly friendly owners, Tom and Ruth, send us a email right away and apologized for that and arranged us another hotel nearby for the same price! Ruth even picked us from the other hotel in the morning and take us to their hotel. We were amazed at the time we first saw the hotel. It was beautiful. Nice and roomy terrace with pool area, little plants and trees here and there. There's even a playground for kids. Room was also clean and comfortably. We feel'd so cosy at the beginning that we immediately booked one more night.
Owners kindly shared their knowledge of the area and make us welcome to use picnic area for our own food.
Only downside, if you can call it that, is that the hotel is a little bit far from Vences centre and an hour away from Nice with bus. To us it wasn't a problem, bus goes right infront the front door and costs only 1,5€.
We will most definetly come back to this hotel, if we will make another trip to Cote d'Azur, and strongly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Our delay at the Nice airport turned into a wonderful experience thanks to Tom and Ruth at Logis Hotel des Cayrons. There were nine of us who needed accommodations after a cancelled flight. Tom and Ruth were very accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, arranging transport station back to the airport and for dinner at St. Paul de Vence, everything on very short notice. They are the best in customer service, both friendly and accommodating. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and Tom provided a lot of information on the surrounding sights, restaurants and areas of interest.

We stayed here about two week ago and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel, The owners, Tom and Ruth, made us feel very welcome and were a mine of information about the area.
The service was excellent, the hotel was really clean and comfortable. Breakfast was enjoyable and the accommodation was bright and cheerful. The picnic and pool area were ideal for relaxing prior to a day of sightseeing and on return to the hotel the picnic area was ideal to do a bit of al Fresco. We would definitely recommend this hotel and we will return in future.

Owner/operators went out of their way to give us great service. Rooms (we had 2) were very pleasant and very clean; breakfasts were good. Good location; quiet. All in all a very pleasant experience for our 3 night stay and a very good value. Only problem was I could not get A/C to come on our last night there--but that may have just been me.

Thank you for your kind comments, we're relaly glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We're sorry the air-con didn't work on the last night; it's true these things can be complicated but we do leave you to control them yourself so you can manage your own heating and chilling. It's just a pity you didn't ask me to help you - I'd have done so with pleasure and you'd have had a lovely cool room.
Thanks again and we hope to see you soon.
Best regards

My family and I stayed recently and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay in the hotel. The hosts made us feel very welcome and had excellent knowledge of the area...which we took full advantage of! The hotel has a lovely picnic area and pool area that the whole family really enjoyed and the perfect place to soak up the sun and enjoy some of the many treats offered within this region. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and well maintained. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend to other travellers.

I usually just read reviews but as my wife , young rugrat & I recently stayed for the 4th time @ this lovely little 3star establishment just up in the hills behind the hectic Nice in the calmness of Medieval old town Vence, I thought it as about time to write. Every time we visit we see improvements that friendly Tom & Ruth have made. Nice to see the tea /coffee trays now that are a rarity in France plus several refurbishments including new loos & painting. Pool area & children safe play area are a bonus not too mention recently added fast free WI-FI.This hotel provides good value clean comfortable & quiet rooms with friendly & helpful bilingual owners. You are in the hills above Nice (15mins by car or bus outside hotel) away from the chaos but have the charm of ancient towns of Vence & St Paul de Vence which are beautiful charming and abound in great little restaurants. Chargall also lived here and you can see his church for instance. They have a great deal with an amazing Pizza delivery shop if you are too tierd to go out and make sure you try the bakery just up the road.

Room Tip: Ive stayed in 4 rooms and seen 4 more. All look good but prices do vary

Thank you so much for your review - it's so nice when our investments are noticed! We knew tea trays would be appreciated by anglophone guests so this comment bears it out. Yes, we are sorry, prices do vary - unfortunately the Riviera is SOOOO seasonal our October to March room rates don't go anywhere near covering our costs - (property on the Riviera is among the most expensive in the world) - so we have to put prices up in the season. But we're happy when guests come back - it shows our rates are justifiable. And, yes, we are more than happy for guests to have a pizza delivered, or even bring their own picnic, and eat it by the pool.

We were booked to stayed here for 3 nights in early April but ended up staying 4 nights because we enjoyed it so much!
A Big Plus with this hotel is that the bus to Nice (Route 94) is literally right out the front of the hotel. It's a fairly regular service and goes right into the centre of Nice. The bus also goes by Cagnes-Sur-Mer if that is on your list of places to go, You can also changes bus at Cagnes-Sur-Mer to go to Cannes. So even though we had a car we still went to Nice a couple of times on the bus.
As far as the hotel goes is was very good. The hosts Tom and Ruth are very friendly and helpful and will happily answer any questions on the area. They also provide an information compendium which contains very useful information. Our room was very comfortable, particularly the bed, and the common area downstairs is very good. Great fast wifi throughout the hotel. Breakfast was fantastic with good variety and cereals which are not to be assumed anywhere in Europe!
A definite recommendation for somwhere to stay

Room Tip: We had room 9 which faces away from the road and had a pleasant outlook. A word of warning though...
