“Perfect for a short treat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

Fantastic decor and extremely comfortable - it's lovely to be given one of the rooms that actually features on a hotel website rather than something that pales in comparison. Helpful staff booked beach clubs and restaurants for us. Free parking on site is a plus. Good ambience around the pool in the morning and at night. Shame it's so expensive or we would go every year!

Room Tip: We had a lovely poolside room so no road noise.

Love the tasteful decor all around the hotel contemporary and quirky. Our room no 1 was marvellous on the top floor had double aspects with sea and garden views and spacious. The beds are big fresh and comfy and gorgeous bathroom. Will come back just to stay at Pastis x

We went to celebrate my wife's 50th - 3 nights beginning of october - it was just what all these reviews say - fab, stylish, intimate, not noisy. Public spaces/pool area are fab, the car parking at the back works really well and the rooms are lovely. John and Pauline (brits) and their team (mostly french) are really helpful and friendly - will chat for as long or short as you like and the whole place just works! - fantastic, thank you

Room Tip: Room 4 is the best and most exey, we were in 8 (8&9 are in the newer part of the place furthest...

We chose this hotel based on other traveller reviews, photos and we wanted a place to stay that was walking distance to the centre of town, not to mention the pool looks and is quite lovely too! I am going to try and not use too many exclamation marks in this review but I don’t know if I will be able to help it! The hotel is quirky, charming and oh so chic at the same time, everything is clean & tidy, the staff are so helpful with recommendations and making bookings for us – if it wasn’t for them we would have missed out on chairs at the beach one day. There is no lift but that wasn’t a negative for us, our room was on the top floor too, overlooking the pool. The room was very clean & tidy, bed was comfortable and we have a small balcony overlooking the pool which was beautiful. I can’t say enough nice things about this hotel, so in summary if my husband and I are in St Tropez again, we will definitely stay here.

We have stayed in several places in and around St Tropez over many years. Pastis is 'small but perfectly formed' and having discovered it this year we will never stay anywhere else. Excellent rooms and bathrooms, nice bar and a lovely team of owners and staff. Despite being small it is much closer to a very good hotel than an up market B and B. A gentle 10 minute stroll into the centre of St Tropez with its myriad of excellent restaurants (and a twice weekly market) makes an evening hotel restaurant unnecessary but very good light lunches and the inevitable Provence Rose are readily available. Also just ten minutes cab or rental car drive to Pampellone beach and it's many beach bars - cab is preferable for the return journey!

Room Tip: Life is always exciting in St Trop, so afterwards sleeping should not be an issue! There are very fe...

This inn is so charming and well executed that there is no doubt I would stay there agian if I'm lucky enough to get back to St-Tropez. John and Pauline were very accomodating and although there was an unfortunate failure of the hot water heater, they made us comfortable and made it up to us in spades!

Room Tip: We had room 1 with both pool and ocean views -- Loved it. There is also a room with a terrace overlo...

This is a great place to stay. The style oozes from the moment you arrive, The reception area and bar are covered in cool photos and art and you start trying to figure out what each piece is. The staff are so friendly and attentive and immediately you feel you have entered a really great place where the whole atmosphere is relaxed and about having fun.
The rooms are stunning, we were in room 8 overlooking the pool with a terrace which got the sun in the evening. The room was spacious, with Matisse and Lichtenstein prints, as well as leather arm chairs and a beautiful bed. The bath/shower room was stylish and functionally perfect. My wife thought it was the best shower ever.
The hotel is a 5 minute walk right into the action of St Trop. And it also is closest to the famous beaches of Pampelonne with Club 55 etc.
But the best bit is the owners - John and Pauline - they are genuinely entertaining people who act as mine host and hostess, especially in the wee small hours around the hotel bar. No one in their right mind goes to St Trop for peace and quiet - its a lively place and most guests are out late in bars and clubs. So theres a great atmosphere as couples come in to relate what they've been up to. All nationalities mix well here having a late night drink together. basically this is a fun place for people who want too get away and have a laugh. It isn't for something who wants just to chill out - there are quieter places for that. But you will enjoy great beauty, panache and great people here. We are fortunate to have stopped in some really great little hotels but this is right up there with the best and perfect for a few nights any time of year. Normally we like to keep trying new places but we will definitely come back here.

Room Tip: Our room (8) was large and away from the road but everyone we spoke to loved their room
