Your first impression of Saint Tropez, if you drive here, is huuuuuge parking lot with an absolute chaos ruling all over the place. Parking space hunting can last for ages. On top of that, there is no color-coding or letters, or numbers on columns, or lamps so it's chaotic again even if you want to leave the place, since you're lost.
The city center itself looks just like any other little city on the Cote d'Azure all the way from Italian border till here. Nothing super-special and you don't fall down on your knees. This is literally the place which is famous for being famous. Harbor was nice, but again, the only thing which was different was number of yachts (much more and even larger yachts are in Monte Carlo, btw). Otherwise it was too overcrowded and restaurants overpriced. Street artists, mostly painters were selling crap. I'm sorry to say it this way, but a portrait of yacht with Porsche cannot be considered art at all.
Generally, if you are not celebrity-hungry (let's face it, you won't meet Rihanna or Madonna in person anyway), you'll start thinking to get out of there after one hour.
