“Love it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

Having been in Monaco for the Grand Prix I wanted a bit of relaxing downtime with my parents and having originally been booked in Nice there was an issue and the three of us were offered this hotel, which although I wasn't sure abuot it as I love the French mainland it was an absolute delight. Although there was an issue with our room on arrival they were more than accommodating and third time lucky we got a great room (sounds like we were 'high maintenance' but I promise you, we weren't!) The room we got was super-spacious and had a balcony (smaller than the original room offered but more sun and a view of both the sea and the pool). There's a private beach with waiter service for the hotel and a great pool and seating area away from the pool for all guests. We love our food and drink and ate at different places each night in Monaco but the food here was so good on the first night we ate here every night. We always enjoyed something different and it was the best food. It's not cheap but, given that Cap Ferrat is the 3rd most expensive place to live in the world (at the time, anyway) we were fully prepared and ultimately it was in no way extortionate. The waiting staff were great - the head waiter was superb and they made every meal a pleasure - even better was that whilst we were eating the room staff did a great turn-down service. The only comment I would make is if you do go here there are large windows in the bathroom and they're not one-way so make sure you draw the blinds! This isn't a hotel with a huge lobby that's impersonal; it gives the impression of being small and bijoux without any pretence - I love France and therefor would go back here in the blink of an eye as I truly loved it.

Room Tip: There are rooms with big balconies with sunbeds on at the side that are great at certain times but o...

We didn't stay here but popped in for lunch on a rainy day last weekend. The restaurant was nearly empty but for a conference party in their private section and the terrace with the best view in the St Jean Cap Ferrat area was closed as it was pouring! On a beautiful day, the sea view from here is sensational and well worth the price of breakfast or lunch! However, we were offered a platter of Spanish cured ham with our aperitif, but not told it was an extra cost nor quite how high that cost would be... and at the end of the meal which was very good... a coffee for one turned into a coffee with small platter of chocolates which was then charged for... no one told us the chocolates were extra. The whole lunch for two - with one glass of wine each - cost 235 euros!!! Really expensive and the sleight of hand of the little extras being charged for ruined the taste in our mouths. We will think twice before accepting anything beyond the specifically ordered dishes on the menu. Hmmm...

Dear Madam, dear Sir,

Thank you for your nice comments about our restaurant. We are glad to read that you have enjoyed your lunch despite the bad weather and the comments regarding prices.
After control of your invoice, drinks were in fact : 1 Kir Royal, 1 Tonic, 1 Evian and ½ bottle of wine. If some items were charged by mistake, or if there was a misunderstanding with our headwaiter regarding the ham or coffee, please contact us, we will be glad to credit accordingly.
Our restaurant also offers menus starting from 35€ every day (35€, 57€ and 89€) which are probably the less expensive from all the hotels around.
Thanks again for your confidence,
Best regards.

My husband and I stayed here in June 2012 with another family. The property is amazing. Truly 5 star. Our room was large, modern, well equipped and had breathtaking views over the Mediterranean. The staff stop at nothing to ensure your comfort and enjoyment. Fresh macaroons awaited us upon check-in, and evening turndown service divine. The bed is probably the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The daily breakfast was very high quality, expansive, and delicious. The pool is a bit small but towel and food service is top notch. The private beach with chair and towel service is also top notch. The property itself is beautiful.

Travelling in June, the hotel was completely sold out and it was a bit busy, and had a wedding reception to boot, but we understood and expected this given the time of year, when most Europeans are on vacation. We paid about 650 Euro per night, and it is worth every penny.

Highly Recommended.

Room Tip: Request a room overlooking the mediterranean. The salty and delicious sea breeze and expansive views...

We were there twice last year, spring and autumn. Great location, private beach, swimming pool, breakfast terrace, ect. Hotel has a private parking for the guests, gym. Well, just taste it. It's really great for the couples, for families with children. If you want to feel more private - choose rooms in the pavilion.

Excellent Hotel for any type of occasions, I had a Sunday brunch there and it was remarkably experience I can not describe to you how phenomenal that table was and all was so delicious. I had dinners there... And most important I had my little beautiful wedding lunch there in September. And they did a great job all was perfect, table was divine, menu perfect, cake was beautiful. All that was a work of one extraordinary Chef and fantastic team. We even have there one special and best waiter ever on the planet our Marcel.
I sincerely recommend this Hotel.

I don't like to be too much dithyrambic in my reviews, but believe me for the Royal Riviera I can't resist! Everything is authentic, cosy, very romantic and peaceful. The staff is perfect, very professional but also very kind. I had every time the feeling to be welcome a little bit like at home.
You have to book a bedroom with the view in front of the sea. This time we had a little balcony and took our breakfast in the morning in front of the wonderful view. The little beach was closed (we were in the middle of October), but we swam few minutes just before going in the warm swimming pool! At last, the restaurant is very nice, we had a good dinner and ordered fresh fish with a nice bottle of white wine from south of France...
Cet hôtel est définitivement inclassable, surtout si l'on compare ce dernier aux autres de la Côte d'Azur. En tout cas, je suis un fan inconditionnel!
