“Satisfactory Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

The hotel was generally satisfactory considering the cheap price, and is located near to the train station so is ideal for a base to travel into Monaco for the day. The hotel is clean and the pool was excellent. The only downside was that one of Ladies who worked there was not a people person and could be rude if asked difficult questions.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2012 via mobile

We recently stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. Our flight was delayed and we didn't arrive until after 10pm but found reception staff helpful and checked in with no problems.

The room was of a decent size and extremely clean throughout our stay. Air conditioning wasincluded and bed was comfortable enough.

The hotel was less than 5 minutes walk to the beach where there was a lovely promenade with lovely beachfront restaurants at reasonable prices.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2012

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The room looked like it had recently been refurbished as everything was really clean and everything worked well - fridge would have been useful. The bed was comfortable and there was a balcony overlooking the street. There was underground parking which to put it politely was a challenge - the bays were very small and the corners tight but it was secure and as we did not use our car during our stay was not really a problem. The train station was a 5 minute walk - Monaco 1 stop and Nice a couple more for only a few euros. The hotel lacked atmosphere - the staff was was not friendly and offered no advice or assistance. They never bothered to look up or offer a greeting but they performed their duties adequately. This hotel offered a good location and value for money so suited our needs.

1. Next to a large building site
2. Pool is next to the site and therefore unusable
3. Hotel staff say pool is available in July and August only , not shown on website
4. If you were planning on staying somewhere with a pool stay somewhere else!

Room Tip: How about trying somewhere else...

If you are planning a trip with friends and do not want to spend a fortune this hotel is for you. It is very cheap, the rooms are spacious and clean, all equipped with hair dryers and covered terrace. It 's just a few steps far from the beach and the most lively town of Menton is easily reached walking along the beach. Also great for holidays with your partner but do not expect anything romantic. For groups also have apartments in the residence adjacent to

I booked for almost a week of stay and when I arrived they told me that "your room isn't very nice." But that they would move me to a better room on Monday. The room was clean but had one too many beds in it - two when it would be comfortable with one. The desk staff was very helpful with answering any questions and called ahead to my next hotel to confirm my reservation. I would prefer to not have the hassle of changing rooms, but I'm just wasting some time on the med between events, so it is all good. But if I were traveling with a companion I would have been quite disappointed, then again I would have chosen a more expensive hotel too. The location is good, except most of the restraints are up the coast near Menton. Overall a nice hideaway but nothing impressive.
