“Good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

Hotel Victoria is a little surprise. It looks dated from the outside, but is quite modern inside. The renovations must have been carried out very recently because everythings looks quite new. The new look is based on creative color play, large photographs and simple, but current furniture. We stayed two nights only, wanting to be as close to Monte Carlo as possible. The proximity is fantastic. The hotel is located right across from the beach, which I didn't find attractive (stoney) to lie on, but the views are spectacular. It is also just a few minutes walk from a bigger city of Menton. One slightly inaccurate thing about the hotel is the information (on booking.com) that it has private parking. Indeed, it does, but only for small cars. Ours didn't fit and we had to park on the street which I had tried to avoid. Another curious feature is only one and rather strange, super slow elevator designed for the disabled. In order for it to work one must push the button non stop.

The hotel rate was very good in comparison with other hotels on the French Riviera. The WiFi was free (slow, though). The breakfast buffet (10 Euro) was pretty good too.

Overall, Hotel Victoria is a very decent place to stay for very reasonable money.

“Relaxed, Superb Service and Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2012

My husband and i enjoyed two brilliant days at this hotel last weekend. We cant speak more highly of the hotel ready to help with anything, chairs for the beach, taxis, room needs and tips for the local area. The Hotel has been recently renovated really nicely located on the beach. We didnt have a sea view which was a shame but next we will! we have stayed in a few places on Cote D' Azur and this is one of the best finds.

“Beautiful hotel, beautiful view!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

This was our first stop on a 15 day excursion through France and Italy and was by far the best hotel we stayed in. Our family of 4, 2 adults and 2 teens stayed in 2 adjoining rooms with a sea view. What a great way to start he day by going out on our balcony and seeing beautiful views of the water and the mountains to our left.
We arrived on the weekend and were definitey surprised by how much quieter it is on the weekend then when the workweek started Monday but was quite interested to see how they trimmed the palm trees across the street when all the landscapers started.
Our room was very modern, clean, and very comfortable beds and pillows. The breakfast was not included in the price of the room but was reasonable and the food basic but good. The front desk was very helpful with any questions, even trying to find an open pharmacy for us on a Sunday.
Roquebrune is a pretty town with a medievel fortress/village which was very interesting to walk around in. Our children loved the sandless beach and couldnt get enough of swimming. The hotel provided towels for us and it was literally right across the street from the hotel.
I was very pleased with all of the services the hotel provided. they even went so far as to mail a poster my son had left in the luggage hold room home to us in the USA. We hadnt realized till we were home 2 weeks later and by chance contacted the hotel via email, they had found his poster and kept it and mailed it back upon request.
While a bit more expensive it was well worth the money, the WiFi was free and worked just fine. The location was perfect, a short walk to the train to go to Monte Carlo or Italy and plenty of restaurants and cafes on the water. Would love to return and stay here again.

“Stunning views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2012 via mobile

We stayed there for one night on a long weekend trip to the Cote D'azure based on the reviews and were not disappointed. A room with a sea view is a must in this contemporary hotel. Very well refurbished, spotlessly clean and comfortable with tea/coffee facilities in the room which is unusual on the continent. The staff were all extremely friendly and courteous - excellently managed. Breakfast was very good -ample choice and nice touches. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and definitely recommend it.

“Great Hotel, Nice Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2012 via mobile

I rearley use the five stars rating in my reviews but in this it worth it the score. It is certainly the best hotel in Roqubrune and very well managed with very friendly staff.
It a small hotel with few rooms all renovated recently and well appointed with all you may need. WiFi is provided free and works quite well.
You may have your breakfast outside in the terrace just 30 Mt from thie sea side.
The only negative note I may highlight is the parking cause no private place is available so during the peak season you must be a bit patient and look around if you want to park your car.

Highly reccomeneded Hotel.
