“Don't ever go there”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013

Reservation at 7.30 pm following the demands of the restaurant. Upon arrival you get the message - in a very unpolite way - that the place is closed!!!! and you can wait outside in the cold darkness in March. 15 to 20 minutes later they open and there is light and heat in the outdoor yard. Because you are not dressed as a millionaire you are punished with a table just inside the door with a heavy cold draught. You want another table, but don't get it, but a door is closed. Still a draught, you ask for another table, you don't get it, but some heat is turned on. Still a draught, but you give up. Got a delicious fish, but were scold, because we served ourselves. An elderly couple had been given a table but were "exiled" to another table as a more "important" customer turned up. Waiters made lots of mistakes. Clear priorities among guests. Unenthousiastic waiters. Owner noisily shouting and ignoring guests. And much more. Prices astronomic.

“Probably my favorite restaurant anywhere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

We always try to go to La Petite Maison once when we come to Nice. Both the food and the atmosphere are special .... the veal ( for two) is unlike anything I have had anywhere else.

It's not cheap and sometimes the owner can be a little "quirky" , but it's well worth it for the experience

“offensive waiters -but good food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

they call this a "victim of their own succes"
food: very nice, but the way you are treated will remain stamped in your brain forever.
The "[--] you" attitude of the waiter is included in the price, but the trick lies in treating them the same way. if you don't want to be dealing with this, find another restaurant.
With a table of three, one person could not get alone a starter because everybody needed to take the same starter for some stupid reason.
who's the client here, chief ? too bad because the wine serving waiter was well mannered.
ps: it's not a language thing, we are native french speakers.

“Snobby but nice food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

I've been here plenty of times and even though the staff is VERY snobby I keep comming back for the delightful food.

Once I went there the waiter spilled some food on our gucci bag and jacket, they weren't helpful so we scolded them, and then we got some money to go to dry cleaner.

Remember to look fancy otherwise they won't give you a table!

“Keep coming back and back”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013 via mobile

This has to be one of the best dining experiences on the Côte d'Azur. Service is friendly and unstuffy while the food really is amazing. I'm always tempted by the tuna with peppercorn sauce, mash and truffled risotto - deeeeelicious. Dress JPM- the locals do - and also enjoy some jet set star spotting
