This a belated review as we dined at Le Statu.co mid July whilst on a trip through France (where has the time gone since). Had read good reviews on T.A. before we left Australia & expected to miss out on a dining opportunity here because of crowds. As some other reviewers have mentioned, we were lucky as it was a very quite night & we were seated immediately. Not good for the restaurant but good for us. The decor is unusual, the outlook not pretty onto a city back street, but the food!!! Excellent.
I followed up on the Nissa la Belle Plate with an entree of Fritters, Peppers in Olive Oil with Stuffed Vegies & a main course of Fillet of Sabre Fish rolled with Zucchini. My wife started with an entree of Zucchini Flower in Carpaccio Coulatello followed by a main course of Fillet of Duck with Roasted Fig. All delicious & very, very big servings at a very reasonable price.
Family run business with brother & sister, Rudy & Marika, acting as chef & floor person, respectively. Both very, very friendly with Rudy sitting down with us after completion of our meal, to talk about his family, his background etc. Very friendly touch & interesting.
Would highly recommend this restaurant. Deserves high rating.
