Only been open a couple of months and run by the past owners of 'Viviers' - one of the best fish places in Nice - and they and their two daughters now run this new place. It looks fantastic. It's like eating in a very beautifully designed living room with your friends. It has a smart relaxed bistro feel to it. Waitresses are excellent - all speak great English but also happy to let you try your best in French!
Menu is small and very heavily biased towards fish/seafood so if you are a 300g steak person, don't go. But if you like fish it is stupendous. Choice of main dishes with salmon, tuna, dorade [bream]... we had raie [ray!] with capers and a risotto with squid black ink and baby octopus - both were absolutely fantastic. [There was beef tartare for the carnivores].
Superb choice of starters too and their wine list, though small, had super wines by the glass eg
St Beatrice from Provence.
We will go again and again. With 5 glasses of lovely wine and 2 courses we were Euros 80 for 2. Excellent value and thoroughly recommend.
