“great location!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

We stayed there this summer for a week. the view from the room is absolutely adorable. We had a room with sea view and its priceless to wake up seeing the sea :) Small room, but has everything you need. Couldnt figure out their wifi availability on the internet, but dont worry - they do have free wifi in rooms! rooms are very modern and I dont understand why it was wriiten otherwise on most websites (I was pretty worried after I booked and found them). Only thing is - they didnt change the linens in our room during our stay (towels everyday - no worries), but they were crystall clear as we arrived, so it wasnt a problem for me.
And its such a location! in the heart of old city andright in front the public and private beaches.

Nice is a piece of heaven and this hotel goes with it. The location is great and is walking distance to the beach. Its also not too far to the Metro 100 bus if you want to go to Monaco. The breakfast was minimal with fresh pastries. The service was very good and they spoke better Enghlish than most hotels I've slept in in Europe. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

If you want a top location right on the Nice beach. This is the hotel for you. Not 5 star but all things normal people would want: Friendly helpful staff, clean rooms, good-size bath, good breakfasts, flatscreenTV and wifi, best of all magnifique views.

Positives: Great location next to beach and old town. Lots of restaurants and bars within 500 meters. Bus 98 from airport stops next to the hotel. Air conditioning works perfectly even in hot weather. The room was clean and bed was good. Bathroom is big. Free safe provided in the room.
Negatives: Had to leave the key to reception whenever going out. The key was then received simply by stating the room number. The receptionist was every time a different person so they had no idea if the correct person is going to the room. This did not feel safe. There was a lot of noise in the room from the downstairs bar (people are drinking and shouting outside). Also there was a lot of noise from the neighbouring rooms, you could almost here what was said in the next room.

Stayed for 3 nights in july and to be honest wasn't expecting much, but in my experience it was better than the reviews that have been written.Even though reception staff weren't overly friendly they were very helpful and respectful.Rooms were old but very clean and comfy beds. You can get a decent continental breakfast in a cafe just along from the hotel for 6 euros which was just what we wanted.Bus from airport no 98 was easy and stops outside hotel -every 20 mins.
First time in Nice but loved it ,very relaxing and loads of nice places to eat and people watch.
Also went to Monaco and Antibes -recommend them both.
Would not ncessarily return to hotel but the hotel prices are high in Nice so i wonder what other 3 star hotels are like in comparison ??

I would definitely agree with an earlier post picture are most definitely deceiving. Pretty old and grim.
Clean as we are room was bring cleaned on arrival but a grim cleaning product smell for hours.
Tiny room and whilst it wasn't dirty everything looked grubby because it was so old and well used.
Staff were helpful with direction and recommendation so couldn't fault them. Pretty noisy though as there is a Cuban bar and all night dancing at the weekend so the room was jumping for hours!

Will definitely stay else where next time.

Moved here from another hotel to be closer to center of town. From the pictures on the web, everything looked renovated to very nice, modern rooms. I paid 200 Euros for 1 night and what I found was a room that looked and smelled like it had not been renovated since 1950. Everything was old, the carpet stained and musty, and the air conditioning was not cooling very much. We stayed her in the summer, so good AC is something you look for. We were mislead by the one in the lobby, which felt very nice and cool, even though the lobby looked old and unwelcoming also. There is a bathroom on the first floor that is very nice, clean, and ultramodern. I think this is the one they post in all the websites. Our bathroom was about 30 years old and the shower leaked so much that when you took a shower the whole bathroom floor was covered with water!

Pros:
Great location.
Friendly staff.
Good water pressure in shower.

Cons:
Dirty, musty carpet.
Inadequate cooling from AC..
Sheets and towels were bad quality.
Shower seals leaked water all over bathroom.

Room Tip: Ask to go up and see it before you check in. They say they are remodeling but don't tell you if...
