“Not a good relation price-quality”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2014

For more than 100 euros the hotel it is not worth it. The restaurant closes on weekends, so there is nothing to eat, there is a fridge for things for sale (3 sandwichs for the whole hotel, pretty bad). You are in the middle of nowhere....with nothing decent or fresh to eat. The shuttle for the aiport starts at 6 am. So if you need to go before, you have to take a taxi for 25 euros!
The room is so small it it hard to walk if you have 2 suitcases. At the airport exit there is no indication whatsoever where the hotel is, so it is very hard to find. I would not reccomend it at all.

Having read a couple of reviews I am pretty shocked really. I agree, when you pull up it is like driving onto the Trafford Centre but the rooms are very clean, with everything you need including tea and coffee which we found rare in France in the other hotels we stayed in. There is a pool and loungers and although we didn't eat in the hotel, the restaurant looked very nice. If you walk 5 minutes out in front of you and past the shopping centre, there is a lovely beach (not pebbles) in Saint Laurent du Var and then a marina with excellent quality restaurants and bars . Keep on walking and there is lovely promenade taking you to further restaurants and bars in Cagnes sur Mer where you will find a busy town, including an historic town set up on a hill. I am not sure what people expect when staying near an airport but this really did not disappoint. We didn't hear any noise from the planes and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The car park is free if you have a hire car which is a bonus and it is excellently located for exploring the area.

Dear Sir, Dear Madam,
Thank you to have taken the time to send a few words of satisfaction after you recent stay at our hotel.
We are delighted that your stay with us reached all your standards required which is extremely important to us.
The proximity of a Shopping Centre and the beach are additional interest points for an airport hotel and good for our guests.
All your comments will be passed on to all my team at the hotel.
And we look forward to welcoming you back very soon.
Best regards

After a very bad experience in the Hyères Mercure we were very satisfied even excited about the way we were received at the reception by Gaëlle. We rarely met such a devoted person at the reception.
We got a double room with breakfast and parking for 118 € a night. Compared to the Mercure in Hyères where we paid the double for exactly the same room (size, comfort), the Nice Mercure by far outperformed it.
Breakfast is offered from 6:30 to 10:30. We arrived a few minutes to ten. There was no rye bread left. I gently asked a young service men to have some bread. "NO, it's too late". How ca it be too late at 10? "We have to finish all at 10:30 thus we are not replacing anything any more right now" !!!!
Second attempt: I asked the lady , who obviously was the manager for the breakfast service: We paid the breakfast, it is 10 now, we would like to have some rye bread. "NO, it is too late". How can it be too late at 10? "Because in this hotel breakfast finishes at 10!!" Thus additionally to the bad service, this lady was lying to us.

We stayed here one night while laying over in Nice. The Hotel sits across from a shopping mall near the main road, not exactly the swagger of the French Riviera. We arrived to a strange smelling room later to realise the pungent order most resemble bug spray. This would make sense as the room was infested with mosquitos and spiders that ate us alive.! My girlfriend woke with one foot missing most of its blood:( Anyhow after making friend with our roommate (the half mouse/rat looking rodent) we checked out the next morning. We had originally booked this hotel due to its proximity to the airport and that we were assured there would be a shuttle to the airport. There was indeed a shuttle but when we requested it we were told that at the time we want to leave the staff would be on break. This was at 11am!!! Needless to say we were insulted and felt the hotel attitude was poor to say the least. We were luck to catch a taxi that set us back 20 euros but the pool is ok. Decide for yourself......

Room Tip: Bring and exterminator

This hotel is well situated by Cap 3000 shopping centre and walking distance to the beach. Free shuttle to Nice airport. Good bar and restaurant. Nice pool area. My only criticism is that the rooms are small especially if you have 2 suitcases and there are no fridges in the rooms. Free internet in rooms. Reception staff all very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Rooms at the rear of the hotel are quieter away from traffic.

We often use the Mercure chain because of their central locations. This is an ok option for Aeroport de Nice as it is very close (5 minutes walk). Because of very early flights and sometimes late arrivals we sometimes need an airport hotel in Nice. We have tried most of the hotels close to the airport, and as far as we're concerned this is the best option.

Very friendly reception. Easy check in. Rooms are ok, but a little faded and tired. The area was very bad a few years ago, but has improved somewhat lately. It's quite safe to walk to and from the airport at most times.
