“Good value hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2010

We were mostly satisfied with this hotel. Excellent location close to major sightseeing areas, downtown. Parking facilities were nice since parking in Nice can be difficult. We were able to walk anywhere for the most part and only took the car for trips in outlying districts or outside the city. Very friendly staff, internet for free in lobby. Only complaints - walls had scruff marks, so repainting in the near future would be recommended for our room. Not sure if they just had not made it to our floor yet. And breakfast was a bit chaotic - staff was not really present to help out and there was some frustration among guests. Although there was enough to eat and wonderful chocolate croissants, there was a problem with clean plates and silverware (maybe I am sensitive but they did not seem completely washed after the first guests had used them - although I seemed to be the only one carefully examining my silverware so maybe it is just me). Overall I would recommend this for price and location and friendly staff.

We stayed here for a short break at the end of the summer season. All Seasons has joined the Accor group and can be booked through their website. I did this and got a good deal by booking well in advance. One big bonus is that breakfast is included in the room price. Most French hotels now seem to have moved to charging extra for breakfast, often at an extortionate rate.
Reception and check in were great - a friendly and helpful welcome always creates a good impression. Our room was large and comfortable and had everything we needed. The bed was big and comfortable, good bathroom (with a quaint window into the bedroom!), free wifi etc. Breakfast was very good - plenty of food from a plentiful buffet and the staff were on hand to replenish stocks regularly. It wasn't the tastiest of breakfasts but there was plenty of it.
The hotel doesn't have a bar or restaurant which is a bit disappointing - it's nice to have a drink in the evening. They do provide free (instant) coffee and biscuits which is a nice touch.
Everywhere is clean and tidy and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
We originally booked a hire car but cancelled it because of the fuel strikes etc and relied on the excellent public transport links. The bus from the airport costs €4 and this gives you a day ticket to use on the buses and trams. The Gare Routiere is about 10 to 15 minutes walk via Place Garibaldi. There is a good train service to Cannes, Monaco etc.
There are a few bars and restaurants near the Vieux Port but the best ones are in the old town, about 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Nice is not cheap - expect to pay €18 at least for a set menu and a beer can set you back €7 unless you shop around. There are some cheaper places to eat up by the railway station if you are on a tight budget.
Overall a good trip in a good hotel. Go for it!

Nothing remarkable, but there was a free computer available for guests (10 mins.)

All Seasons Vieux Port is close to, but not actually at the port, and near (but not too near) the bus station and Place Garibaldi. It's a modern and well-equipped Accor chain hotel. Our room was clean, with a good sized bed, everything was functional and worked well - we've stayed in the Kyriad next door which is fine, but we think the All Seasons is worth the extra.

Free wi-fi is included - it worked perfectly. Breakfast was also included in the price and included the standard Accor fare of ham/cheese, cereals, excellent bread, OK croissants (rather soggy), nice preserves, machine coffee but if you take your own tea bags you can use their hot water. We would stay here again (and we'd bring our own green tea bags).

The hotel's in a great location as it's very close to walk to Vieux Nice, yet out of the crowds. However, it was the most basic hotel I've ever stayed at, especially considering the cost! The room was lovely and spacious, but there were NO amenities i.e. no toiletries except a thing of soap, and when I asked for an iron, I had to go down to reception to pick it up myself! The wifi internet worked most of the time, but not all, and the 2 tv stations in english were fuzzy a lot of the time. The tea, water and 'coffee' allegedly available in the lobby (which I think is cheap in and of itself) was often empty.

The staff were friendly so I think all of the 'meanness' of the hotel is down to hotel policy.
I just don't understand how they can charge that amount of money for zero services/amenities. Would give it 5 stars had I paid half the price.

Enjoyed staying at this hotel, the staff helpful and friendly, the bed comfortable and it was located in a good area. Not to far from the beach and city area where all the restaurants are located.
The only thing missing from this hotel, was a minibar in my room, apart from this I would stay there again and recommend this hotel to others.

We had a wonderful time in All Seasons in Nice. Hotel is perfectly located in old town, right next to all bars and shops. Walking distance anywhere. Rooms were very nicely designed, very modern, bright colours, fab finished bathroom with window in the shower, overlooking room (no worries there are rollets!!). Everything was clean and well prepared for our arrival. In the room there was bottle of water on the table waiting for us. Staff was very friendly and check in and out were very quick. No hassle what so ever.
Breakfast was very good, muffins, great selection of jogurts, cereals, even fresh squeezed orange juice. There was a in house parking option, but we haven’t use it. We’ve rented car on last day, just before leaving, so we parked outside. I’m sure its not easy to find spot, but one or two rounds around the place, and you’ll be sorted.
