We stayed at La Petite Sirene years ago and it was charming. We new it was small that;s OK, but the bathroom in my room had a leak in the ceiling and was molded everywhere and the AC didn't work the response was "So" Finally they changed my room and it was clean and mold free and the AC worked. We were there the last week of September everywhere was packed for the end of the summer...we loved that, but have enough staff to take care of your guests....I'm afraid we would not return...Sorry, but true.....

The hotel looks romantic and quaint in the pictures, but it is very basic and unluxurious in reality. Particular disappointments were a tiny room (a double room was in fact two single beds next to each other), the grubby decor (except for nice bathroom), the breakfast (a small piece of bread, a dry croissant and a teabag), no outdoor space or terrace, no parking, staff entering the bedroom without knocking and not even apologising, and finally the very bad value for the high price. Having stayed in many other hotels in Nice over the past two years this was by a long way the most disappointing and was more like a backpacker hostel. It does have an ideal location for central Nice though.

it is not a hotel but a hostel.the room though clean and the bathroom is ok, but, very uncomfortable. i know it was refurbished few years ago, but, since so many things were broken.
as i said it is a hostel. i could nt bear to stay there for more than one night.the bed was unbelievably uncomfortable.

The Petite Sirene is a small (18 rooms) french hotel very well placed for the sea front (5 minutes brisk walk) or the main shopping area

The rooms are well maintained although the furntiture is "characterful" rather than modern - bath room in our room had recently been upgraded with some very modern fittings. The standard of housekeeping is good and the double glazing means it is very quiet overnight. There is a lift.

Staff are very helpful but not overly effusive

We stayed 3 nights but would have been happy to stay longer - an identical breakfast every morning was the only real quibble we had - and they could do with more storage/hanging space.
