“A pleasant surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2014

We recently stayed in a one bedroom apartment at this hotel and were thrilled to find it so much more spacious than the tiny hotel room in Paris. It had a well stocked kitchenette, a decent bathroom and was spotlessly clean The balcony over looked the garden below. The staff were very friendly and more than helpful. Perhaps those that like to be right in the heart of things it could be considered a little out of the way but still in walking distance to the heart of Nice, just a couple of minutes walk to the beach front and a good selection of eating establishments close by. Would certainly recommend to all who plan a visit to Nice, especially those who would like a break from a regular hotel stay.

This place is not extravagant. But quite comfortable and has all amenities you need. The room i stayed in had a double bed, kitchenette, bath and was quite spacious.

Its major plus point is its location its very close to supermarkets, beach, eateries, Gare de Nice Ville rail station and old city... you can cover all this walking around.

Room Tip: Room 602 was the room I stayed in and i think was the best room compared to all my other friends.

This place is a dump. Yes, the location is quite good. Our room has no bed, just a pullout sofa. The carpet is old and stained and the sheer curtains are torn. We asked for a room with an actual bed but they told us they didn't have any left. I had booked this room. Through Expedia so no cancellations were possible. The place is old and shabby. Ugh!

Room Tip: Don't.

Location good to stroll into centre of town, restaurants and beach, value for money for its location, parking available , (a huge bonus) service very good with some helpful advice where to eat. We booked a room with garden view and balcony , really nice but not there long enough to enjoy it. Separate toilet in room and kitchenette to cook (basic but all you need on holiday). would differently recommend staying there . We hadn't booked in advance and arrived there late in afternoon .Wifi free

My wife & I stayed for 3 nights. Located in a great spot, close to beach, supermarkets, restaurants etc. Our Room was on level 1, with small terrace next to garden where we spent a lot of our time. The 2 electric hot plates in kitchen were impractical to use and we gave up on them in the end. Fridge was excellent. Our room had a Pull-out Sofa bed which was a surprise to us on arrival and didn't lend to a great nights' sleep. The highlight were location and the staff who were exceptional. They were all very courteous, patient and their knowledge of Nice, transport, tours, etc was first class. Very professional. Would stay here again.

We booked our executive level room directly from the Citadine website. It advertised spacious 1 bedroom apartment with fully appointed kitchen with coffee maker. Bedroom with ensuite plus separate toilets. The fully appointed kitchen was a small microwave & two small hotplates, no coffee maker & a dishwasher that barely cleaned. The kitchen was in a hallway. No one could get through if anyone was in the kitchen. The ensuite was a bathroom off the hallway without a toilet. The toilet was also off the hallway. One person only could enter the hallway. You had to close one door to open another. It was the most cramped apartment I have seen. More like a single room that had been filled with walls. We had requested two single beds in the bedroom. We arrived to find a small double bed. Since we had booked months in advance I was surprised. I was told the sofa bed folded into two beds so they had given us our request??? It seems my review is at odds with others I have read. Maybe it was the room. We did have a street balcony, small but cute however it would have been space better used in the apartment. We did find the airconditioner very good. Better than most we had in Europe. The staff on reception were polite but not overly helpful. The breakfast was among the better we have had in Citadines & breakfast staff quite helpful. Breakfast area was also pleasant. Would not stay in thiss hotel again. In our opinion not good value & extremely cramped. Our discomfort here marred our enjoyment of visiting Nice.

Room Tip: Had executive suite, still not happy. Check the room is actually what is advertised.

Booked a holiday package through AirTransat which included a week in Paris and a week in Nice. believed by booking package through a major carrier their would be no surprises. Arrived in Nice on Friday afternoon and our room was disgusting, Mold on the ceiling dirty floors, dirty walls, broken tiles in the kitchen floor, missing major appliances. Bathroom smelled like a sewer.Contacted the front desk and would not change our room. Contacted Airtransat who did nothing to help. Contacted Acott who is the Citadines franchise holder and would do nothing. 4 days later they provided a clean room and called it an upgrade?
