“Suite perfect for family”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

We stayed in the suite at this hotel in June, and it was perfect for a family. Separate bedroom and smaller living room/bedroom with a hallway in between. Bathroom also accessed from this hallway, so very convenient. You could easily stay with older kids without loosing your privacy. However, the sofa bed in the living room was not a full double (maybe 1,50 or 1,60). Tv and minibar in both rooms.

The location was great, in the middle of the old and new town, with amazing views of the promenade and sea. Parking towards old town was a 3 - 5 min. walk away. Service was good, but not extraordinary. We did not have breakfast at the hotel. Instead we went to a great bakery with breakfast menu next to the daily food market on a square 5 min walk towards new town.

Room Tip: Suite perfect for family.

The hotel has a great location and a breathtaking view. we had a fifth floor room facing the sea and from that height (and especially since its towards the end of the promenade - you have an unparalleled view of the beach. Very close to old town as well. hotel staff could have been friendlier.

Room Tip: fifth floor facing the sea

This hotel has the best view of the coastline!!

We reserved a superior room and we were assigned room 26.... but view was partially obstructed by a Palm Tree. Still very nice touch to get a Champagne and crackers because of our honeymoon!

We parked our rented car in one of the 2 spots in the front of the hotel for the weekend and saved some $$ out of parking!

Room Tip: Ask for room 23... Still Superior (not the most expensive ones) but has the best view on second floo...

Popped into this hotel for a drink during a thunderstorm. They refused to serve myself and 5 other friends as we were not residents at this hotel. I then also asked politely to use their bathroom to which the rude receptionist on duty said that there was not one. Lukily their guests tend to be more helpful than their staff! Don't stay here, much more helpful staff at other hotels.

This is great little hotel and amazing value. Just arrived at Nice airport, thinking we'd be clever and avoid a costly and long cab ride into town, we took the bus. Well worth it - 4 Euros and a super scenic route into town, right along the sea front and the promenade and all the way to the end, which is where you need to go to get to the Suisse. The bus had to take a slight detour though due to roadworks so we were dropped off in picturesque Nice harbour and walked up the 5 minute hill to the "crest" of the promenade and that breathtaking view all the way to Nice airport and beyond. The Suisse is right on that crest and the view couldn't be more perfect. A warm welcome, very quaint little lift (2 persons max!) that took us to the top floor and a cosy room with double doors opening onto a bijou balcony with a view to die for. Perfect hotel for a stopover. We walked to dinner that night - La Reserve the other side of the harbour . Highly recommend, fantastic food and a view of Nice by night that is quite stunning. All in all the Suisse is a super place - we didn't have breakfast as were taking an early boat to St Tropez the next morning. Perfect hotel if you like a nightcap on the balcony with a spectacular view. Yes there is some noise from the street but it's amazing how much the view takes your mind of that!

Room Tip: The higher the floor, the better the view . . .

The view of the coastline from the rooms of this hotel is simply spectacular. Our room had a balcony with a small patio that was perfect for just relaxing and taking in the scenery. The beds were comfy, the the rooms were clean, and the breakfast delicious. The street noise was not an issue while we were here. We enjoyed our stay!

Didn't like this hotel AT ALL. Paied for a view and was stuck on the first floor where all we could see were a tree in front of the room. It smelled terribly bad and the traffic noise is definitely something to be reckoned with. Got stuck in the elevator 5 min after arriving.
There are a ton of pensions in Nice at half the price which I am going for the next time.
