When we booked the hotel we were not sure about the location, but it was perfect. €45 from the airport in a taxi although only €30 to get back....
The entrance was clean and elegant, and the people in the reception were all very friendly.
Our room was light and spacious, (junior suite), and had a huge bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet.
The rooms were all very clean, well presented, and the bed was extremely comfortable.
It was a 5 minute walk to promenade des Anglais, and the walk was through the smaller streets which were lovely to stroll down. It was 5 minute walk to the main new shopping street with the trams and the parks, and only 10 minute walk to the old town. All the fantastic restaurants were within a 5 minute walk.
Would definitely recommend.
2 choice for breakfast €6 for 2 mini pastries, coffee and orange juice or €12 fit a full buffet style breakfast. Cheaper than most of the cafes which did breakfast, and you chose each day if you wanted breakfast and which you wanted.

This is a small, boutique type hotel situated on a quiet and pretty boulevard approx. five minutes from the beautiful sea front and beach. It is approximately 30 mins walk from the port area via the old town but only a few minutes walk from the TGV station. There are numerous bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk.

Most of the staff were friendly and helpful although one receptionist did not speak or appear to understand English. Furthermore one of the night staff was particularly unhelpful to my group over the late night drinks service or rather lack of it!

Rooms are extremely clean, modern and well appointed if on the small size (room 44). The bathroom was small but the shower was excellent but using the toilet was a challenge as it was wedged in a small corner. The lift is very small taking only three people and it is extremely slow so be prepared for to climb the stairs on occasions.

Breakfast in the basement at €12 is good value and contains the expected selection of juices, cereals, yoghurts, bread, cheeses, cold meats plus a hot buffet. No evening food is available.

Free wifi is available throughout the hotel and the connection was fast and reliable albeit one has to log in every time one uses it.

In summary, good value, a clean and pleasant hotel if a little cramped. Location is very handy and I would use it again.

Room Tip: I understand there are larger deluxe rooms available. These might be worth the extra money as standa...

This small hotel has many stylish features and is well located on a reasonably quiet road.
Our room was a little small but beds were comfortable, adequate storage and quiet air conditioning.
Breakfast was good value and varied.
Public rooms were tasteful and airy.
I would certainly stay again

Room Tip: Upper floors may be quieter, but we didn't find the lower floors noisy

The hotel had a great location being very near the old town. We are a family of five so we got a bigger room for three of us with one of them being and extra bed, and one that was just a standard double. Our three person room was okay, spacious and with an okay view of the church adjacent to us. We had a corner room facing the street and my dad enjoyed the view very much. The bathroom was a great size for three and Hamas functional and spacious as well.

The other room, the standard double, was average as well, however the bathroom was small and made it very hard to function. My sister said she had a difficult time reaching over for the tissue and she had to even sit side wards just to get tissue. Her shoulder would hit the sink. Just so you know, we aren't big people, all around 5"3 only so you can imagine how small the bathroom was. Safe to say, it wasn't ergonomic.

The service at the front desk, however was rather unpleasant and unhelpful. He spoke very good English but had no service attitude.

Our stay was still good, albeit the front desk service.

Pleasant staff, clean, comfortable, quiet.
Stayed a week and explored Cannes, Antibes, Monaco by taking the train (station just 10 minutes from Hotel). Also took the bus (very cheap at 1.5 Euros) to St Paul de Vence. Definitely worth the hour bus journey.
Go with the expectations that this is a 3 star not a 5 star hotel, so no restaurant, swimming pool etc. But this is a really nice hotel from which to explore the area. The hotel has many restaurants close by. Le Vingt 4 is worth checking out for good food, a relaxing evening with a bottle of wine.
Hotel also just 10 minutes from the sea and Old Town. Nice is a surprisingly compact town and very pleasant to walk around, nice promenade, great variety of shops and places to eat. Really enjoyable stay all round.

Spent 2 nights with my family and the location is perfect to see the city. Restaurants are available just around the corner. You can walk to the old city and shopping center around the place. I would recomend this hotel.

Room Tip: get the big rooms at the corner of the building

I spent a week at Villa Victor Hugo and was delighted with my stay. I had a room on the 5th floor in the corner with a tiny wrap around balcony and windows/doors that opened to let the fresh air in. The bathroom was spacious and the shower had reasonable water pressure, although seemed to take ages to warm up, particularly in the mornings. There was an open 'closet' to hang clothes. The bed and pillows were comfortable and importantly it was reasonably quiet overnight. The only thing missing was a small fridge in the room, which would have made it easy to enjoy supermarket food, instead of having to purchase/eat a meal at a time. Staff were friendly and professional and their English was super, as compared to my poor attempts at French. Free wifi was a bonus.
