“Excellent 3 star. Highly recommended”

We were very pleasantly surprised by this little hotel. The room was very well finished and comfortable. We were at the back, so there was no road noise, but I doubt at the front it is too bad either. Breakfast was good and the breakfast room well furnished. Bar/foyer area is also nicely finished. The rates quoted were also very competitive, which os why it gets 5 dots for a 3 star.

We came to Nice to play in a international petanque tournament from the US.
I moment we entered the Hotel we felt so welcome and at home. Gilles and his furry
companion Cosette, are like family. The rooms very comfortable, a great variety of breakfast
food, clean and comfortable beds. This is a great location. When I needed to change my flight, Gilles was so helpful. We all stayed ten nights, very happy!

The chic photos are misleading. The lobby is indeed stylish. The standard room is tiny and very plain, with one chair. I booked what I thought was a good deal, a standard room breakfast included, prepaid. Well, the room was so small that if we put in it two suitcases and two carryons , we would not be able to walk in the room. So I asked about a larger room and visited four possibilities. The one that was sort of acceptable was a " comfort" room which required an additional payment of 15 euros per night. I had no choice, we paid. No free upgrades for weary travelers . Again, in the larger more expensive room -- one chair only, not an armchair, just a chair. Tiny bathroom. There is a safe. Internet included , free. No minibar or coffee/tea making pot. Breakfast was excellent. Location is very good if you seek peace and calm in the center of Nice. The big shopping streets are nearby, the pedestrian street with tourist restaurants is nearby. The Promenade des Anglaise is a 5 minute walk. As we discovered there are also some lovely small restaurants in the small streets around. Parking is expensive and complicated. The hotel has quotes from Victor Hugo on some of the walls and nice decor in public areas, a charming touch.
I found hotel prices in Nice reasonable when I searched in November. You can definitely do better.

We have spent 3 nights here but only planned two. It was so good we stayed an extra night and changed our plans to suit. Simple if you want a hotel that is well located, superbly cleaned with great rooms and all in an old world building, pick this hotel. We have stayed in many 3 star hotels throughout the worl but find this one of the best. Our room has a king size bed with all you need. The facilities are limited but you get great service and a quiet location. Breakfast is simple but beautifully presented. If you have a car they ofer a special deal of 9 euro overnight. Much cheaper than paying local prices. I am critical when deserved so my lack of criticism here is testimony alone to a good choice of hotel. Enjoy!

Room Tip: Two side. One on the street with a little noise but a view of the street or a back room which is ver...

This is a great hotel for the value in Nice. The hotel was recently remodeled and the decor is very nice. We stayed in a beautiful room that over looked the church next door. Even though the room was small, the be was comfortable and the bathroom was very nice. Since we were out exploring most of the day, we didn't need a bigger room. I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Nice. We would definitely stay again.

We chose an executive room because we like a bit of space. It was a lovely corner room with 2 sets of French doors leading to a small balcony. It also had a window making the room very light and bright. The bed was very comfy. We had views to the church on one side and the Boulevard Victor Hugo on the other.
The bathroom was huge! The shower area had some mould and could do with a good scrub, but everything else was spotless.
Breakfast is available in the basement and is what you would expect for a 3 star hotel, not great, but certainly adequate. You can also choose to head out to one of the local cafes for breakfast instead.
The wifi was fast and reliable during our stay.
The location is great, we just walked everywhere around Nice. All the staff we dealt with were pleasant. As a 3 star hotel, this one is very good and good value.

Room Tip: Our corner room was large and bright.

This hotel far surpassed our expectations. It is a wonderful boutique hotel. The rooms are very tastefully decorated with real attention to detail. We had a room for three people and it was absolutely perfect. It is very centrally located and very will priced. The break fast was very good and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. This hotel is a real find.
