“A delightful boutique hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

This hotel far surpassed our expectations. It is a wonderful boutique hotel. The rooms are very tastefully decorated with real attention to detail. We had a room for three people and it was absolutely perfect. It is very centrally located and very will priced. The break fast was very good and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. This hotel is a real find.

La Villa is centrally located, close to many shops and restaurants and just a stone throw of the old town. Breakfast is good with variety and taken in a nice room. In the rooms we did miss a tea or coffee making set, and the sound proofing could be better, we had a room with a nice view to the Victor Hugo street. The room decor is nice and well appointed and the toilets are very functional.

We were lucky to find such a good hotel at a reasonable price (it was out of season). Breakfast was not included so we had to pay extra but it was well worth it. The room had pleasant minimal decor and staff were friendly.

Room Tip: We were at the front but high up and the street noise was barely noticeable

I looked long and hard for a hotel for my husband and I to visit Nice as my husband was running the Nice to Cannes marathon. We wanted a nice looking hotel, close to the Promenade de Anglais but not too expensive. The rooms at La villa are simple but very tasteful, recently refurbished I think. We had a comfort room, slightly bigger than the standard. We booked the hotel direct as their offer was better than any of the 'booking' websites so be sure to check direct first. ( with the added bonus of a complimentary bottle of champagne, which was perfect for celebrating a good run in the marathon 3hrs 16min! ) Breakfast was extra and at 12 euros each was ok but we only did it once out of three mornings we were there. Try Co-T-Cafe on Rue Meyerbeer. Staff were friendly, english speaking and very helpful.
A couple of things that would have made me give 5 stars
No coffee/tea facilities in the room or bottled water
Pillow on the bed were very hard, woke up with neck ache each morning
Rooms to the back can we quite noisy at night
As this was marathon weekend there were quite a few runners in the hotel, it would have been good to see an early breakfast laid on for those people that needed it.As it was there was no facilities for breakfast at 6.30am and we were charged 6 euros for a bowl of milk ( husband brought weetabix )
It was the first time we had visited Nice and overall a really good experience I would stay here again although I would like to see those added little touches.

Room Tip: rooms to the side have a nice few of the church, our (51) looked out over a very grubby looking cour...

Stayed here at the beginning of October 2014. If you want a clean well positioned hotel this is the one for you. Get the 98 bus from the airport and get off at the Congress stop. Hotel is about a 10 minute walk (with suitcases) from here. Decent sized Spar supermarket not far from hotel in Rue Maccarani/Rue Halevy (turn left out of hotel entrance and then immediately left again). This is also the quickest route from the hotel to Promenade des Anglais. In addition, when heading back to the airport, head down this route and at the end of it turn left and walk about 150 yards to the Gustave stop and get the 98 bus from there.

This is a really nice hotel. Recently renovated, rooms are lovely and beds great but it's not cheap. In a nice part of the city with easy access to everything. Staff are very friendly and helpful with excellent english. Small bar area with glasses of wine at a reasonable price. five minutes walk to airport bus.
