Check in and out went very smooth, no problems whatsoever.

This room was booked for me by customers in Nice.

The room was best described as squalid, Dirty ripped bed linen, peeling paint and sub standard furniture, stained and worn carpet, poorly equiped bathroom and generally outdated and poorly maintained.

No Tea or Coffee in room, but in a ** you can not really expect anything else. Breakfast was basic and not really worth the price, a croissant and a small bread roll with coffee, a selection of jams/preserves was also available, this is "pre-setup" so if you dont get down early, you will find your breakfast has been sitting on the table for a long time.. The shower was very small and impossible to use without the dubiously clean shower curtain clinging to you in the worst way. There was also a used plaster stuck to the "do not disturb" sign.. yuck. The A/C was working poorly and the heat was not very pleasant, the smell from outside was not great so opening a widow was not an option. Wifi is next to useless, only available on the ground and first floors.. No parking available and very few public spaces to use in case of need.

Staff however were good, A freindly smile and a warm welcome greeted me whenever I left or entered the premises.

A brisk 15 minute walk will get you to the main tourist area of Nice.

I will not be returning... ever..

For anyone expecting clinical perfection, then this isn't for you. This hotel is perfect for those who DON'T spend their whole holiday in a hotel, but rather to use the hotel as a place to sleep. We booked this hotel as part of a package deal through Jet2.co.uk. Great price for a city break. The room, yeah, was 2 star quality...but hey, clean linen,towels, toiletries and simple continental breakfast that did the trick! We were put in a room in the center of the hotel which had an amazing private balcony looking onto a stunning church, great sight to wake up to. Our price included breakfast. The location was the best we've had in Nice in the past and it was right in the action. I was amazed to find that the travelinn across the avenue was 3 times the price per night than the Nouvel with probably the only addition of a coffee machine and clean carpet. I would recommend this hotel for young couples on a budget. Enjoy!

We had a really great stay at Hotel Nouvel. We stayed in a twin room and compared to the hostel we stayed at the nights before, Hotel Nouvel was real luxury! Air condition, nice location, cheap.... we were completely satisfied! But the woman behind the reception when we wanted to check in was really rude and harshly, the other staff was really nice, especially the guy who was sitting behind the reception during the evenings/ nights ;-)
All in all I can really recommend Hotel Nouvel!

This hotel may be basic, but it offers a good location for exploring Nice. They have airconditioning, which is a plus in the summer.

I have to say that the price of their breakfast is a bit steep at 8 euro's for a basic continental breakfast which consists of a roll/croissant, machine coffee and fruit juice, plain yoghurt and a selection of jams, and laughing cow processed cheese.

The staff however are friendly and helpful which is sometimes lacking in larger establishments.

Overall a pleasant experience.
